We had a terrific stay, swimming, fishing and relaxing. The campsite was spacious with plentiful and a very short wake to the rocky shore line. Our site had a shared driveway with another site- but the campsites are not right on top of one another and offer privacy. Backing into the campsite was a tight squeeze , many of the sites looked pretty tedious to get into. The bathhouse was clean and well supplied, but it was not close to the campsite (within walking distance). The bath house we used had fairly narrow showers. Which were fine for our group, but I would not say they are wheelchair accessible. If a handicap accessible bathroom is required for you I would recommend calling the park. The park was well maintained. The staff was helpful and kind.

This was our second camping trip to this Park. It is such a gem. Worth the 5.5hr drive from Florida. The campsites are spacious and spread out. Almost all have a water view and access. The bathrooms are well maintained. The rangers and staff clearly take pride in their park. The entrance has a well appointed general store with everything you might need in a pinch, from camping gear to groceries. They also have ice and firewood. They have rentable kayaks, which is new from our last trip, ia bit pricey, but nice to not use to tote ours so far. We will definitely be back.

The hurricane did a job on the park! Fields of trees down! Clean up continues! Sites are large and private, sunsets are gorgeous. Really nice playground and picnic area! Weather was great! Grocery stores 20 minutes in either direction!

Awesome campground! Campsites are well situated, well maintained, and offer easy access for your camper. Water and electrical hookups with a dump station on site. There are also primitive camping spots available too. Very quiet and peaceful. Would highly reccomend.

This state park took a beating from Hurricane Helene last September. Probably about 60% of campsites open. Any site over the number 115 and up are still closed and from the looks of it will be for awhile. Massive trees down and debris in those areas. With the devastation here I can’t imagine camping here during the hurricane. We booked site 101 and it shares a driveway with 100. It’s right on the water with a beach area. It’s very close to a boat ramp so you could totally tie your boat up at this site. It’s mostly shaded and has the standard water, electric, fire pit and picnic table. It has been very quiet and peaceful for our 4 day stay. There is a general store with wood, ice, bait, ice cream and other items you may need. They do also rent bikes and kayaks. A side note on fire wood…..we didn’t burn ours and had 4 nights of 3 hour fires just gathering cut wood around the sites from hurricane clean up. Trust me there is wood everywhere if you don’t mind gathering it. The bath house can be far from your campsite so if that’s important to you do your research. They are older and could use some updating but worked well for intended purposes. Showers were hot and hooks for hanging bags etc. We will definitely come here again. I just hope the clean up continues to get this park back to 100%.
