The park is absolutely beautiful. It's been quiet for our stay and the campground host was extremely courteous. The bath house could use some extra attention as the showers were not great clean wise, but it is a campground, not the Marriott. The ocean view was wondrous as was the drive through the park. We stayed in cabin #11 and it was large enough for a queen size air mattress plus our cooler and two chairs. The screened in porch is a very nice touch. Each cabin also has an air conditioner and ceiling fan as well as a broom and dust pan for quick cleanup before you leave.

We have been to the sister campground Huguenot dozens of times and lucked out this weekend and last minute we reserved a spot for Labor Day weekend. Our first time here. LOVED the privacy in the sites, the canopies of trees, beach was not even a five minute drive. All of the staff were friendly and not overbearing. Our campsite was #97. Not a pull through spot but it is on the corner which was nice. It was a beautiful spot. We will definitely be back. I told my husband that it’s my new favorite campground!!

We absolutely loved this gem of a park & campsite. Happened upon it via Google Maps at the end of a long day on an interstate trip, made the same-day reservation via email that was followed up by a phone call from Kenya, who couldn’t have been more helpful and nicer to an out-of-state newbie. Arrived 15 minutes before the gate closed and immediately appreciated that their hook up pedestals are lighted so that you can see in the pitch black darkness. Awoke the next morning to a jungle-like oasis with great vegetation screening between sites even though they are stacked alongside one another. Appreciated the overhead canopy that kept our RV cooler during the heat of the day. The wildlife, especially at dawn/dusk at the lake, was incredible! Our dog also absolutely loved the hiking trails and the beach (his first seaside experience). All the staff and hosts we encountered were very friendly. All of our neighbors respected quiet hours. And there was a nightly patrol by the security contractor. Water pressure was steady 35-40 psi even on a busy Saturday when the park filled up. Bathrooms are a bit dated, but clean, and got serviced every morning that we were there. I reported to a camp host that 2 showers were not working after an act of vandalism one night, and they were back in service the following morning. In sum, we liked it so much we extended our stay to include the weekend, and can’t wait to come back again

We really enjoyed all the park has to offer. We rode our ebikes everywhere. Just wish they had more bike racks. No golf carts allowed, which was nice. Our camp site was not big enough to let our awning out completely, but we made it work. Having the lake to go kayaking was extremely nice. It will get you closer to the birds. It was relaxing. They have paddle boats & kayaks you can rent, but we had our own. Make sure to bring those life jackets. We took many ebike rides on the beach. Once in the morning and once at night. Spent time looking for shells, seeing sun sets, & a couple of sun rises. There's a Cuban food truck during the weekend. The food was amazing and so worth the price. There's a general store, a nature center, a couple of play grounds, splash pad, laundry facilities, hiking trails, bike trails, picnic area, picnic tables, grills & a bunch of host if you have issues, which we did not. If family oriented is what you are looking for, then I would highly suggest this camp ground.

A nice, older park very close to the beach. The campground was in the shade of the maritime hammock. It was noticeably cooler under this canopy. The roads, especially in each row, are two way but very narrow. Take your time as you navigate your way to/from your campsite especially with your RV. The bathhouses were older, but clean. You can walk or drive to the beach, lake, and splash zone. There are several mountain bike loops and a hiker only loop. There was a campground store. There was also a nature center but it was only open on Friday and Saturday from 1:00-4:00 PM. On Saturday and Sunday there was a Cuban food truck next to the campground store. The food was excellent.

We stayed an entire week with our camper. We had a great time! There is a ton of activities to do and everything is super pet/dog friendly! The beach was very clean as well as the whole park. All of the staff were super kind and helpful. The lake area had a ton of birds and great fishing. Our only critique would be when it rains, the roads on the campground flood. Everything gets very muddy, including the campsites. I think some gravel or concrete pads would help this issue a lot. We would definitely stay here again though!

Beautiful park, campsites, quiet but narrow roads at the campsite, camp bathrooms are ok, needs cleaning more frequently. Water and electric hook up is convenient. Not all Parking areas to the beach have bathrooms or rinse off. If you have caterpillars phobia like I do, RUNNN fast! They rain down from the overgrown trees everywhere you turn, even under a canopy. The map is outdated. The convenience store at the entrance is available along with the playdate. Required code needed for the gate to camp. We cut our reservation short due to multiple near altercations with caterpillars.

If I could give this no stars I would. I posted this review five years ago and still to date.....the worst bath rooms of any campground we have been to. For such little money they could have done simple one like this which includes a laundry. But no, the city has really screwed the baths up and after 5 years and a renovation, it's worse

We stayed at Hanna Park Campground for 4 nights in February. We were on site 33, a drive through, full service. This park is amazingly beautiful. From the palm trees to the beach. The trees overhang each other like your in the Amazon. Never saw a gator but did see an Armadillo on a walk with my dog. Everything was amazing. Never met one grumpy person. All the staff were very helpfull. The sand on the beach goes from hard packed by the water to almost talcum powdery then to gritty sand on the dunes. Never saw a Gator but did have an Armadillo as a neighbor. The sea fog that rolled in while we were there was a site to see. Just cant say enough good things. We will for sure be back.

This park is so beautiful! It’s like being in a magical gem hidden away from the chaos of the city. Lots of campgrounds that feel just a bit private due to the foliage. The beach is just a 10 minute walk from the campground. Great beach to walk on and astounding greenery. Hikes and trails for walking as well as biking on. It’s amazing here!

We just arrived. We love the layout and privacy of the campsite. Nestled among dense foliage, there is plenty of shade, Each site has full hookups, a fire pit with bbq grate. The campsite access roads are narrow and tight, yet we had no difficulty backing in. We love it here, evidenced by the fact that this is our third visit. And we'll be back

So much to do here. A big plus is the beaches being dog friendly. Sites are great. Bathrooms are rough. You take a shower and the whole floor has 2” of water. Very relaxing other than out elderly neighbors watching the news every day as soon as they wake up on full blast.🤯🔫 Would return!

This is a nice place. Full hookups. Centrally located. Good for families to gather. We come here often enroute to other places. Usually stay a week or so. Close to base and lots of restaurants. Excellent place.

Loved camping here! My three daughters, 6 and under, had an absolute blast. There are plenty of little trails to explore along with longer trails. The kids loved the multiple parks... especially the splash pad! The beach was wonderful. The campground was full of families with kids of all ages. Very friendly place like RV campgrounds typically are. I felt comfortable and safe allowing the kids to bike around our immediate vicinity in the campground too. The only snag was that you have to be very careful with understanding how your camping site is oriented so you drive down the roads the right way if the site is a back-in site... Otherwise you'll be driving in a couple of loops to get the right approach. Lastly, the roads can get a little tight with some little abrupt hills that without enough clearance, you could bottom out. All-in-all, I'll be camping here again.

One of the best campground I have stayed at. It's real camping with beautiful trees, wildlife, a big lake and numerous ponds. Did I mention the beach!? The beach there is awesome and not crowded. Definitely a 5 Star campground
