I will continue to make accounts to leave 1 star reviews until this issue is resolved since this seems to be the only place I get a response. The campgrounds phone response has been beyond atrocious, VRBO is trying to help me, but says the campground will not reply to them. I stayed at happy travelers RV resort as a booking through VRBO. Upon arrival, we were told that VRBO never sent the reservation and it was a "common issue", so we would need to rebook through them, and they would contact VRBO to refund from there. No problem! I am flexible! Except it was actually a huge problem. Neither service will refund so I am still being double charged! I tried calling, ended up texting with a "manager" who could not care less. I've finally resorted to claiming the charge as fraudulent with my bank, because at this point? that's what this is. The night we stayed wasn't even good? the smoke detector beeped the entire time, and it was on a high ceiling that we couldn't reach. We stood on a table and still could not reach it. Tried calling, and they did nothing about it. After being awake all night because of it, we left early. They will hear nothing about this complaint and will not refund even though this is clearly "services not rendered". I paid for a safe place to sleep for one night. I got none of that. I'm sure "Martha" the director will reply to this review as well, there is no Martha. I asked to speak to her and was met with confusion. This resort is running a scam through VRBO, stay away! TLDR? 1) they are running a scam through VRBO 2) this is NOT a safe place to stay- do not bring your children here! if there is a fire or any emergency they will simply die! and happy travelers will already have your money so not their problem. 3) always pay with a credit card so when they double charge you, you can file fraud with your bank :)

Ok I really wanted to love it! We were visiting from out of state and were going to Busch Gardens and stayed 2 nights. We got cabin 6, very cute, nice space inside, decent beds. However, check-in was a hassle. I never received the so called confirmation that had our access code. So we had to call a number and figure it out at 7:40pm or so. Got our cabin, kids were beat (we all were), took showers and hit the bed. At night, both my husband and I saw a cockroach in the cabin bathroom. The next day (yesterday), we spent all day at Busch Gardens and got back to cabin around 7:30. Kiddos took their showers. I went to go brush my teeth and I killed 5 baby cockroaches in the cabin bathroom within 10 mins. I reached out to their website, haven't heard anything yet. At 11:30pm, my husband got up to use the bathroom and killed 12, yes that is correct...12 cockroaches in the bathroom!! We checked out at 8am, I was really disappointed. This cabin has a serious bug problem. I saw 3 staff members walking up to the office (which opens at 9am) and I said something to them. Was told "the bug guy was just here Monday" "I'm really sorry about that". Totally unacceptable, should have been more than just "I'm sorry".

Big thanks to the team who keeps this place running so smoothly! We had a great stay and really appreciated how cozy and inviting it was. We also want to thank you for being so responsive and kind in resolving the little hiccups we ran into — that kind of care really stood out. You helped make our trip easy and enjoyable!

We took a chance on these cabin and we very happy! Clean, quiet, and everything we needed for a quick weekend trip to visit our son at USF. The bed was a little hard for me but perfect for my husband who would sleep on the floor if he could. The bedroom was small but it was fine since we didn’t spend much time there other than to sleep. We will definitely be back!

Friendly staff. You have to book through a third party which is not convenient. You have to wait for the office to get your information before check in. You can not call the establishment to book. The cabins are very nice and clean. Quiet and safe area. The beds are comfortable. Basic kitchen supplies so bring extra supplies. They do not have an ice maker. Bring your own ice. They are on well water so can stink of rotten eggs in your cabin. The property was recently bought and the owners are not hands on. Hopefully they change some issues, because this place could be fabulous. We would stay here again.
