I travel for work so I've stayed in campgrounds all over the country, and this is one of the best. A little more expensive then others in the area and it's surrounded by weed shops. But great service and facilities.

Halloween at Harbortown is so much fun! We have gone 6 years in a row. It’s the start of our Halloween gatherings. The park bathrooms are clean and we love the full hook up sites. Large sites with plenty of space between them. The fire pits in the valley are the best!

We stayed here for a little over a year while searching for a house. The landscaping is very well maintained, and the staff are top notch. The bathrooms, while typically clean, are in need of major updating. Lots of gross looking shower heads and broken towel hooks. Unfortunately, at no fault of the park staff, the weekenders absolutely destroy the restrooms every Saturday during their peak season. My daughter loved the Friday night Karaoke and walking on the little trail in the back of the park. Overall, it seemed a bit overpriced (~$1000/month, plus electric/propane (propane not provided on site)).

Our experience was very good at the end of a long trip. Stayed here on Wed / Thu nights in August using our PA discount. Paved sites, 30amp/water. Level. Our site was close to the clubhouse which has laundry and at least 12 private bathrooms which were cleaned daily. Pool appeared to be clean but we did not use it. Most of the 30A/Water sites were empty as it was midweek. Have to drive slow as many kids on bikes. Quiet at night except for the proximity to I-75 and trains. Wasn't too bad.

Booked this place looking at reviews. Wish it was great for us. Camping is supposed to be relaxing far from that! Our lovely neighbors had 4 cars/trucks, two on their spot and two on the spot next to theirs (people were not at their camper all weekend.) As you see in picture two dogs tied up to the truck and yeah I got to hear those dogs bark non and I mean nonstop all night!! Talk to management about them hoping it wouldn’t be a problem next night, yeah that didn’t happen same stuff Saturday night. Rules state 2 cars per lot with max 8 people. They were clearly over both and even showed management. I was told staffing was the problem as they didn’t have enough workers. That’s not my problem! You are still charging the same price so we expect same quality. We are far from the fun police but when all you hear is mother f this mother f that f this it gets a little old especially having our 10 year old daughter with us! All events for their Christmas in July theme started late. Not all was bad the pool is nice could be cleaned more as their were a bunch of bandages at the bottom.

Quite an unfortunate review... I actually quite enjoyed my time at the grounds themselves, but the office staff awful. We came into town on a Saturday and booked a two night stay -- we're so satisfied with the amenities that we decided to extend for three more nights. I contacted the office, spoke with Jessica, and asked to extend my stay -- she happily obliged and when I asked for my new total (from check in to check out -- Saturday to Thursday) she told me it would be $231. I was shocked because the weekend nightly rate was $72 a night -- and to pay so little for so many more days it seemed to be a great deal. Well, then the charges came in. They charged me $144 for Saturday and Sunday night. They charged me $10 for an extra car that I did not have. They charged me $20 for a late check out that never happened. And, they charged me $231 for Monday night through Thursdays checkout... which also included a $10 charge for an extra car that I did not have. I called and spoke with a "manager" named Heather, who was argumentative, accusatory, disrespectful, and unaccommodating. When I asked for an explanation of what the charges were, these are the answers I received: $144 -- "Saturday and Sunday night." $10 -- "An extra car." When I told her I only had one vehicle, she moved on to the next charge, and did not offer to or remove it. $20 -- "Late Checkout". When I told her we checked out at 12PM she stated that they had proof of late checkout. When I asked what proof, she said that "someone drove by and saw our rig pull out at 3:30PM." When I informed her that was impossible and that we have video footage of our rig being pulled into our storage at 2:45PM in Warren, MI more than an hour away, she interrupted me and told me we checked out late and the fee is valid. $231 -- "Extended Stay". When I explained to her that I spoke with Jessica to extend our stay, and when we asked what the total was from check in to check out she stated "$231", and that we were happy with that because it seemed the weekday rate was much lower... she stated "it's $72 per night every night for your site..." and when I asked how she was coming up with the math, she stated "you were charged $10 for a second car." It was quite clear that our conversation was going to go nowhere, and they were not going to honor the $231 as we were told. So I requested an escalation to her superior/the owner, to which she declined. When I asked why, she hung up the phone on me. I called back, got an associate, who then provided me with a generic email and advised that there was no extension or direct line of contact to the owner and that she was "just doing her job." So, I sent an email that day requesting owner escalation. I received no reply for 3 days, sent a follow up email and received a call about 10 minutes later from Jessica, the "most senior manager", also the woman who was responsible for this mess. While Jessica was decent on the phone, she stated the charges were valid, and that they would not be adjusting anything off -- and when challenged on the extra car and late checkout fees, she too said nothing. When I asked to speak with the owner, she stated "the owner employs me to handle things like this -- I'm handling it." When I said I was not satisfied and continued on she asked me if I could hold so she could take another call -- to which I declined, she made time to call me, why should I hold so she can help another guest? She put me on hold anyway. As the owner of several businesses myself, if a consumer ever had a problem with my/our services, my/our staff, and requested an escalation, my/our staff would see to it that I am looped in to address the issue/concerns and see that the consumer walks away satisfied... even at the expense of a dollar lost. That character is not represented here, and the blatant greed and mismanagement of this place will surely ripple through to the consumer, not just once with me, but again and again. I will not return, ever. And I've taken the charges up with my bank. Buyer beware!

This is as close to a perfect campground in all our years of traveling. Priced reasonably with lots of activities including a pool, arcade, and much more on site. We averaged $35 / night for 3 nights for W/E30/I with our Passport America discount ($53 without). Our site was very spacious, sunny and on very level asphalt. There was sufficient room to park our toad and the interior roads were easy to navigate. Internet service was fair. This campground is 18 miles north of Toledo and 35 miles south of Detroit just off I-75 in Monroe, MI. We visited the spectacular Edsel and Eleanor Ford home and Holocaust Memorial Center.

For a resort not bad just tight but that is what i expect when going to RV resort, all paved and friendly staff, pool, arcade and go carts next door, and a neighboring golf course
