My new favorite magical place; beautiful forest, assorted sizes campsites (ours looked small but was actually perfect for two 10X10 tents and a screen tent), fairly secluded, extremely serene. The restrooms/shower house were the cleanest I’ve ever seen in a public use campground- not even a speck of dust in the windows! The staff/camp hosts were the best, engaging and friendly, willing to help and give recommendations or just share their experiences. We visited during the federal government shutdown, and this group of camp hosts did not skip a beat in keeping operations running at top notch. I asked several of them how they kept the restrooms and grounds so clean and they all said “this is our home during the summer so we treat it as such and maintain it like we would our own home”. Only an hour and 20 minutes from Indy Southside. Will be visiting often. We stayed in The Pines area, nestled on a ridge furthest back in the campground, surrounded by gorges on either side of the road. Just stunning!

Such an awesome park! I went with my husband and 5 month old daughter to hike a bit for a friend's birthday and we were not disappointed. The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly. It was a hot August day but the shade was wonderful. Overall an excellent place to hike and camp out! Absolutely beautiful.

Hardin Ridge is one of the most beautiful parks we have been to. Gorgeous extra large campsite, pretty lake, trails, and campground hosts that really care. Thank you, Karen, for the care you take at each site. Definitely recommend if you are in the area youcheck out this park!

Great pace for quiet, primitive camping, if you know where to stay 😉 Just gonna say...51, 52, 53. Anyway, facilities are clean, camp hosts are friendly, camp sites are well maintained. Only drawback, and this isn't anything the Hardin Ridge SRA can control, is the music from people partying on their boats on Lake Monroe. In good weather, it eventually calms down once it gets dark. But out on the end of Southern Point, it's pretty noticeable. Regardless, the sounds of birds, tree frogs, cicadas, and coyotes make up for it.

Stayed at the campground in a tent for 3 days. Nice & quiet through the week. Everything was very clean. Site was gravel and leveled. Stakes for the tent went in nicely. Large picnic table, fire ring with flippable cooking grate, and tall lantern post provided at site. Hosts were very nice and were seen driving around on carts enough to know my stuff was safe in the campground. Restrooms & showers were clean with hot water. Used the boat ramp to launch kayaks & paddleboards. Short drive from the campgrounds to the boat ramp and beach area, so it was a great base with our water crafts. Beach is currently closed because of flooding, but playground is still usable if you park in the upper lot & walk down.

Perfect for a more secluded campground with access to Lake Monroe. Nice beach area for the kids. Quiet.

Amazing nature trails, a beach with ropes and guides at 4 ft and 6 ft to help keep track of the water depth. Definitely my favorite place to take my kiddo in the summer. Cute little and playground too. My only suggestion would be to have picnic tables in the beach close to the walls and some umbrellas with them. There is one tree that gives shades for a couple of hours in the day, people tend to poach it.

This place is one of my favorite places to camp! It's close to water, densely wooded, and secluded all at the same time. You'll be pleased if you enjoy the Indiana forest!

Excellent stay. Not too many people in Eads loop. They are a little stingy with their generator rules especially on very hot days. Overall a fun experience. And we found Bigfoot.
