Situated in south-central Nebraska, the park sits within the scenic Republican River Valley. The surrounding landscape is a mix of rolling grasslands and cottonwood groves, providing a classic Great Plains experience. The area is particularly famous for its spectacular sunset views over the open water.

  • A playground and multiple boat ramps

These facilities ensure a comfortable stay while maintaining the natural charm of the Nebraska shoreline. The layout is spacious, allowing for a sense of privacy often missing in private parks.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The primary draw is the 13,000-acre lake, which is a haven for walleye and white bass fishing. Hunters and wildlife enthusiasts frequent the area for its diverse ecosystems, often spotting bald eagles and pelicans during migration seasons. Beyond the water, visitors can explore the Alma Vista Point for panoramic views or visit the nearby town of Alma for dining and local shopping. The surrounding public lands also offer ample opportunities for hiking and bird watching.

Nice COE campground and Hosts. Google sends you on dirt roads if coming from the west. Take 136 to Republican City and come back to stay on pavement.

Ok. Stayed on weekend, so pretty full. Camped in primitive site, but we have, I guess, pretty good batteries. About everyone else ran their generators non stop. Especially the guy next to us who slept outside with his air off, on a drop down back deck. Not many people believe the pet leash rule applies to them, or maybe they got an exception from a higher power. More dogs running loose than on a leash. Lots of trash around campsites. Big pile of dog💩 left in our site from a previous camper. I would’ve give two or three stars, but the lake is very pretty.

Great Corp of Engineers Campground and Lake. Nice sites, some with Full Hookups, some with Electric Only and some with no Hookups. There are 2 shower house buildings and they even have a couple of washers and dryers. (Coin operated like a laundromat).

Nice COE park, very large with beautiful views. Big rig friendly, cell service ok. Bathhouses were just ok and small. Middle of nowhere so prepare before you go !!
