Nice park. It was late fall, so there was nobody around. We did 3 different hikes-- all were nice and had good views of the lake.

A very nice and quiet park. Lots of trees and spots for camping. Lots of wildlife to be seen, even bald eagles in the autumn and winter.

Really nice lake area with lots of camping options. Lake goes for many miles, lots of fingers. Visitor Center, dam, dam road and access to Harry's Bluffs were all closed on a beautiful, hot Tuesday in early September. Very disappointing in that regard. Went to other areas of this expansive park, and enjoyed a 1 mile hike along the Bluff Ridge Trail, which was a loop. Lots of access for boating.

Awesome state park! Multiple campgrounds, bathrooms, shower houses, laundry facilities. A few swimming areas, boat launch, marina, small playground. Very woodsy and hilly - beware of ticks! The kids loved riding scooters up and down the hill - and each road has a loop at the end that was awesome for the kids to have room to play and not be in the way. Dog friendly. Kids activities on Saturday at the park office were neat. Staff was super helpful. Loved it!

If you aren't a people person but love nature I would suggest going during the off season. We just stayed a week here and it was gorgeous! The whole park is empty pretty much except for the ranger that drives through daily. The spots were all pretty nice, with plenty of room. Tables and fire pits. The only thing I can say is that if you go during the off season you will not have access to any toilets. So make sure you bring your own! Otherwise we had an amazing stay and it was nice seeing all the signs of spring 🌱🌼
