Awesome to relax and cheap dock fishing. No bites tho

For those that might want to visit to fish, rent a boat to explore the lake, and remember the small restaurant/tackle shop where you could grab a bite to eat or refresh your fishing gear - all of these are now closed. I called them because I wanted to take my daughter fishing and it had been quite a while since I’d been there. That’s when I was informed that this place is under new ownership and they’ve decided to close the amenities I used to really enjoy with my daughters. Very sad. Maybe it’ll reopen someday.

Missed expectations are always a bad thing, and yet that is all you will get if you come here. The lake is pretty. Fishing could be good. I am sure it would be fun. The shoreline is nice too. But that's where it ends. The camping area is a dry open area with nothing but dirt, rock, dry grass. Even that could be overlooked if the price was real cheap or the people who run the place were nice, but it gets worse. The person to greet me had a sign on the door saying that they would be back soon, but in fact they were laid back on the couch inside. When I came in and asked if they were in fact the name on the door, they said they were, but didn't budge until I said I had a reservation. In short they struck me as too lazy to move or remove the sign, just in case they wanted to be somewhere else when someone else arrived. It still gets worse. Cell phone reception for me was basically non-existent, but I noticed there was a Wi-Fi signal with the park's name. When I asked about Wi-Fi I was told there was none. When I pressed for explanation I was told I wasn't allowed to use it. Who creates a Wi-Fi with the company name only to tell people they cannot use it?? Change the name. Spare them missed expectations. They rent boats for fishing, but at this point I really didn't want to fund this place anymore, so I can't review what that experience would be like. If you have a boat you might want to launch next door. But I recommend finding somewhere else to stay.

Great place to fish, price is right and its a win win if your wanting to catch trout. The owner are so nice. You can pitch a tent at a reasonable price for a night or two even more. They have everything you think you might need in th8e store .fishing rods and reels , candy's nets drinkss. They even have a pet duck that stays on the dock.

Fishing here is really great sometimes the boat launches scrapes up your boat so be careful lots of lilies and algae in this lake you may lose a lot of hooks and worms and gear not a very good place to go swimming either

Super small boat ramp with a ton of people crowding it. Made it hard to launch the kayaks but once we got them out on the water it was a calm and enjoyable little lake.

Good place to stop by and just say "Hi!" to your amazing host. Or to fish or to camp by tent or trailer. Neat and quiet, this place is so so nice. They have barbeque places and a small store to buy needed stuff. The launching boat spot is perfect for launching small boats and the pontoon is sturdy and a pleasure to seat on and is equipped with a few adirondack chairs. I highly recommend.
