If I am down that way again, I will definitely be back. I like that the gate people keep a good eye on things. I had site 25. Beach access on my side, water view on the other, ample space in my camp site, and having electric was great. The bathroom was perfectly fine. I can be a little bit of a princess about that but it was clean. The shower was also fine (Don forget your shower shoes) in size, water temp, and the water pressure was fine. It was mostly quiet and it's clean and peaceful. I like that it was dog friendly too since I was traveling to a competition at the Garrison building.

What a lovely campground! We stayed over with friends and my sister. Every site is absolutely beautiful with lake views. The bathrooms were very clean. The sites was spotless, the lake and sunsets were gorgeous! We traveled 2.5 hours from Georgia and we will definitely be back.

Camping sites are large and very clean. Wonderful views of the lake. Double sites are great for larger group camping. Park is very clean and well maintained. Downside is the bathroom facilities need major attention. We stayed at site 36 and used the closest one to us. Mens room had one urinal and one toilet and two showers. Not nearly enough for the amount of people needing to use them. Not only that they were very dirty. Cleaning folks really only took out the trash. Didnt wipe down mirrors or even mop the floor. Showers were covered in soap scum. Toilets had not been touched. Only gets cleaned once a day per camp host. Such a shame that this one areas neglect caused me to give it such a low rating. It should be a 3.75 but it won't let me rate it that. I would still come again but bring my own cassette or composting toilet with me along with a hand washing set up. It is a beautiful campground but just needs a little attention to detail with the bathrooms.

A regular place to camp for use. We always enjoy our stay. We get a double rv site. Staff friendly. Sites are clean upon arrival. A Bath houses clean. Just remember. You are in SC. There will be bugs and spiders. The Jaro spiders are everywhere.

This is a beautiful campground with numerous sites with full lake views. Many of the sites also have easy access directly to the lake. The campground also has a nice boat ramp and a protected swim beach. With 50 amp service and water at the site, it was an ideal spot to spend a few days enjoying the lake. We stayed on Site #85. Back-in, 50/30/20, water with good pressure and flow rate (6GPM), no sewer. Gravel pad. Picnic table on large gravel patio, fire pit, pedestal grill. Site long enough for coach and car. Heavily shaded. Great privacy, no other sites close by. Great view of the lake and easy access to get the kayaks to the water. Two car parking spaces adjacent to site. Site is ideally positioned for views of the sunset over the lake. The site is bordered by Trex landscape timbers. There is ample poison ivy on the other side of those timbers. Backing in definitely required teamwork between my spouse, who acts as my motorhome marshaller, and me. On the left side of the road, right at the edge, there were tree roots that I could not see, but that stuck up above the ground high enough that they would have damaged the front body had I hit them as I cut the wheel to make the turn into the site. On the right side, there was a drop right beyond the Trex landscape timbers. There was also a dead branch hanging down that I could not reach from the ground, so I had to back the rear of the coach right up to it so I could then climb onto the roof to break it off so I didn't damage the top of the coach. Once onto the site, I was able to auto-level as the site was only 0.9° low on right, 0.4° low in front. I would not consider the campground to be particularly big rig friendly. There are low tree branches, narrow roads, bushes and trees on sides that jut into road. But, with all that said, it was manageable in our 36' Class A motorhome. The dump site on our loop was pretty nice, the other is tight and not level. Each dump site had two large dumpsters for garbage. Sites 93 and 94 also have OK access to the water though the hill is fairly steep getting down to the water. Those two sites are across from the boat ramp. 94 in particular has pretty good privacy because it is at the end of the road where there’s just a turnaround Sites 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 56, and 57 all have decent lakefront access. Though, all of those sites are more standard angled parallel, and don’t really have privacy. 78, 79 and 80 also have acceptable access to the water though again they’re close to each other and don’t really have any privacy; those are the sites that were across from our campsite. Bath houses are older and could use a refresh, but were functional and clean enough.
