Hartwick Pines

Hartwick Pines State Park is a 9,672-acre (3,914 ha) state park located in Crawford County, Michigan. It is the largest state park in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan and is home to a stand of old-growth white pines, some of which are over 250 years old. The park is located near the city of Grayling and is a popular destination for camping, hiking, fishing, and snowmobiling. The park also features a nature center, a museum, and a variety of educational programs. The park is named after John Hartwick, a lumberman who donated the land to the state in 1921.
