Great customer service. Staff is very friendly. The location and the area is great. We don’t know the area very well so we don’t know what’s all around. We came at the very end of camping season before they shut the camp down. So the store wasn’t Very stocked. The Wi-Fi worked for The kids. We paid for two days of fishing, which was very expensive, but did not catch any fish Although you could see the fish swimming in front of you, it’s fishing, not catching lol. The showers are free which was nice also the bathrooms were nice and clean. I would highly recommend and will be returning. This was our first visit.

Our family loves coming here every year. We have been coming for 4 years now. Friendly staff, clean campground. Bathrooms have clean facilities & showers for free. They also have a laundry facility if you need to do a load or 2. We absolutely love this campground. It's not far from the falls if you want to visit. It's close to town if you need to run to grab anything you forgot. The camp store here has a big selection they have firewood & ice for sale. It's also quite. Another plus they have WiFi

Hat Creek Hereford Ranch is an absolute gem! We love staying here. Mornings are transformative in their peacefulness. Bird song everywhere, murmuring swallows over the stocked trout pond-lake, grey foxes in the meadow near the mellow cows, and mini encounters with wildlife if you are quiet and slow enough to notice. Children and adults successfully catching fish and the most respectful campers anywhere. The store has just what you need, and the staff are great. Staying here has become an annual tradition for us-- perfect for my paragliding husband, and all of us who love to experience true peace at Hat Creek Hereford Ranch and visit Mt. Lassen. Dark skies provide an incredible view of the stars. Spending an afternoon on the rim of Cinder Cone (a very doable hike) is one of my all-time favorite past times. Mt.Lassen access points and Burney Falla are all within reach for easy day excursions. Highly recommended. Whole hearted 5 stars. We love it here, and have concluded that the only thing that would make our visit better is a longer stay!

A dear friend of ours has been telling us for years that we really need to check this place out… Well, we finally made it and guess what - we booked our second trip before leaving. We enjoyed fishing in the pond, and the swimming area was clean and comfortable, our son loved it! They also have a great play area for the kids and I felt very safe letting our son go “hang out with his new friends!”Great memories were made in this beautiful campground. We stayed in a grass tent site which was shaded nicely and had a gorgeous view of the cattle ranch. Close enough to town, but far enough away to be a quiet getaway. The office has lots of essentials and the camp hosts were darling, we were made to feel very welcome. Can’t wait to return.
