I checked-in today, and I love it. It is much smaller than the campground I just left, but feels much less crowded. I finally do not feel like a sardine. The pads are paved and spotless and the hook-ups are lovely. The bathrooms are immaculate, and I could finally take a real shower without being grossed out. It is such a cozy place! Cassandra is awesome and delivers amazing customer service. So glad I found this one. I feel so relaxed and ready to enjoy my stay.

Repeat customer. Every couple of summers we enjoy a week at Hatteras Sands. Have never had an issue with requesting one of 3 spots we like. They have accommodated our request every time. Pool is always clean. Love having access to laundry though there are times of the day it’s super busy with just two sets and some campers aren’t courteous to not leave their washed or dried items tying up the machines. Bath houses are always clean. The addition of the concreted pads several years ago makes for a nice stay. We feel safe letting our preteens ride their bikes around the loops. Great family vacation spot if you love the quiet laid back atmosphere of Hatteras like we do.

Stayed in a cabin and had a good time. The quarters are tight but they have bathroom and a nice sized shower. You are close to the beach and everything else in Hatteras. The pool looked nice but I don’t believe it is actually Olympic sized. The staff was friendly and helpful. If I was going to make a suggestion. It would be a big improvement if there was more hooks and shelves in the cabin and maybe a clothes line that stretched across the room to dry clothes on. A larger fridge would be great too. A week stay comes with a lot of stuff and there is not really anywhere to put it with four occupants.

Check in was a breeze and staff was friendly and informative. Cozy cabin for family of 4. Cabin has queen bed and twin bunk beds. Beds were really comfortable! We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the quiet campground, fishing in the channel and just relaxing. Cabin was clean and well maintained. We made use of grill ( took some work to get charcoal to light due to gusty winds), microwave and mini fridge. We chose the cabin because it had a bathroom with decent sized shower. Great water pressure and we never ran out of hot water. AC was nice and cold. Close to restaurants, coffee and pastry shop as well as grocery store. Would stay here again!

The cabins are very small. There are limited accessible outlets as some are behind the beds. The shower is nice and roomy with hot water and strong pressure, the frig is a good size but missing many shelves. The microwave was clean and powerful. It is a real struggle to keep sand out of the cabin, an outside rug would help. Bring one to help reduce so much sand tracking inside. The other option would provide an outside water spigot to rinse the sand off. This would help as well. Overall this is a nice campground and although there was a load and rowdy bunch on this holiday weekend, the cabin was quiet, and very little noise passed through the walls. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
