The site fees are very confusing. I was not sure how much I owed for the campsite. They do offer an online pay option but the sign was behind the fee box and not visible. They need to fix that.

Hidden Gem! We booked the group site for a neighborhood overnight camping trip. The grass area was so well kept and we had plenty of room for multiple trailers and tents. The pavilion is a little on the small side but we made it work and it kept us all dry during the early evening rain storm. We were blessed with an amazing rainbow 🌈 There was water and the outhouse/bathrooms were clean. Our camp host was kind and helpful.

This is a large group site. Wide open area with covered picnic tables, three fire pits, and two bathrooms. Views are stunning, with lots of visible stars at night. Close to Rockport Reservoir. Camp hosts and park staff were very welcoming and friendly. The vault toilets for this site were the cleanest I've ever seen. Impossibly clean with no smell (what sorcery is this?!). A couple of 'cons:' There are some homes close by, but they didn't impact our stay at all. It's also close to the entrance to Rockport State Park, so there were a fair number of cars passing by, especially during the day. However, the site is so large that you can easily set up camp far from the road itself, so we found it to be a non-issue. Price is higher than an individual site, obviously, but was well worth it for our group. Would recommend!

Overall, it's a pretty good place but I know that people have very different standards, so here's an explaination of the place: It's a very wide open space that you could fit a lot of people in, but it's not very secluded. The camp site is right by the entrance, which means there is gonna be more cars driving by than there would at other camp grounds. And here are some other random details- 3 fire pits, a restroom, a few pretty good climbing trees, a water pump, and a little pavilion with about 5 benches. Hope that helps!

Decent I guess. Lots of lights from nearby houses and a pole which made it hard to sleep. Vault toilets. Lots of thistle plants which hurt bad. The only cool thing was a Hawk's nest to the East of the camp. You can see two adult hawks take care of a young hawk.

Sad campground. God forbid you have kids or puppies to enjoy the nice field. You'll have this truck flying in to ticket you for anything possible. Over $200 a night to be monitored every 20 minutes. Never again.

Not the best campground Kind of like camping in your back yard with all the houses. You have to drive to the lake it takes quick's a little bit of time to get to it.
