We really liked this park and it was a great place to stay to explore the Black Hills and Badlands. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice if the office had a bit longer hours since we didn't have a chance to see what was in the store. The links provided in the check in email, which were links to videos describing various trips and sites to explore, were very thoughtful and much appreciated. The checkout email was also a nice touch. The park is very clean and well-kept. Reasons for a 4-star rather than a 5-star review: (1) Although sites looked level, ours (411) was sloped to the passenger side of the coach meaning that we had to use blocks when leveling to keep the passenger side rear wheels from being lifted slightly off the ground and (2) notable road noise from adjacent Hwy 79. We would definitely stay here again if we are again in the Black Hills region.

Camped in our RV. Nice, clean park. Shower and laundry facilities were very clean. Great location, convenient for doing everything in the area. Very easy to get to. Employees were very pleasant. Most reasonable rates in the area. Highly recommended, would definitely stay there again.

This is a wonderful Passport America park, and that price is excellent for the amenities available, especially. It is very easy to access from the highway, check-in runs like a well-oiled machine. The showers are clean with amazing water pressure and perfect temp, and the laundry is very reasonably priced. The park itself is quiet; however, it is close to the highway, so road noise is very noticeable. Location is very good...easy to get to Keystone, the monuments, and Custer State Park. We are thankful Rapid City is close by, as our traveling companion had to spend quality time at Urgent Care and the ER. We definitely will recommend Heartland to others and will gladly stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at Heartland! The sites were spacious and easy to pull into. The park itself has 3 separate laundry areas which was great. We used the pool and hot tub often - great addition to the park! The only negative was not having any designated parking at the laundry attached to the event center but nothing show stopping. Highly recommend for those with big rigs as well!

Heartland RV Park in Hermosa, SD turned out to be so much more than just another campground—it was an experience we’ll remember for a long time! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spacious, well-kept campsite that gave us both comfort and convenience. The events hosted at the park brought the community together in such a fun way—there was always something going on to make evenings lively and memorable. The food served in the event center was another pleasant surprise—delicious, fresh, and served with genuine hospitality. Cleanliness was top-notch. The restrooms and showers were spotless and well-maintained, and the laundry facilities made it easy to keep up with chores while traveling. The staff truly went above and beyond—friendly, helpful, and always willing to offer a smile or an extra hand when needed. If you’re looking for a campground that delivers more than just a place to park, Heartland RV Park is the place to be. We left feeling like part of their extended family and can’t wait to come back!

This is our second time of staying at this RV park and it was very enjoyable. All buildings were exceptionally clean and nice. The personnel both times have been very helpful, courteous and pleasant. We'll see you again next year!!

This is a great park with great employees. Enjoyed the Tues night jam session. Our schedule did not allow us to join in the other nights. Food was great as well. Very helpful in answering our questions. The facilities were also clean.

Really nice staff members. Clean showers and restrooms. On-site restaurant serving hearty breakfast and good pizza available for dinner (will even deliver to your site). Heated pool and jacuzzi was advertised but not available due to cold weather, but I think that should have been our choice. Park is located right on the highway and super close to the road going into Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments. Loved the experience at Heartland even with some highway noise. We stayed 9 days.

The staff was amazing. The event center was awesome. Location was great for easy access to the surrounding areas. We would definitely stay again. Constructive criticism: add a salad and chips and salsa to the menu and we would have dropped in a couple of more nights. Sites slope downhill so be ready to block up.

It was a very clean park, however we had lots of rain and our site was a muddy mess. The roads were also very sponge. Bathhouse were clean, some of the staff extremely friendly others could have cared less. They have a restaurant that serves pizza and wings nightly, do have a variety for breakfast never tried breakfast. Had free music several nights never went mostly county not a fan of. Over all would recommend close to a lot of attractions.
