Rented the dog friendly cabin for me and my pup and it was awsome! I grew up in saxton but it had been 40 years since id been back. This resort is right where my Grandfather and I would fish and launch our boat! So massive points for that! The cabin was so nice! Very clean, modern ,and cute! My pup and I loved it! The dog park is very nice and a nice feature for dogs. The grounds are very well maintained and everyone from staff to guests were extremely friendly! Saxton is right up the road with everything you need. Trough creek state park is also very close and definitely worth the visit! Unfortunately due to a plumbing emergency at home I had to leave after 1 full night! Really bummed, because we were very comfortable and happy with our cabin! I highly recommend you give this place a try! Ill absolutely be going there again! My 1st choice of places to stay there! Thank you for having my pup Ziggy and I! We had a great time and look forward to coming back!

EXTREMELY well run by friendly operators. Clean amenities. Planned weekend activities. There is a main lodge with various camper needs covered and cute apparel. (It does often close before marked hours during the week; however, so that last hour of "open" time can be a gamble.) River access with motorized boats and kayaks available for rent. Clean swimming pool. A definite win for the camping and glamping enthusiast.

Great RV campground at Raystown Lake. We visited for a week over July 4th weekend and LOVED it. We were walking distance from the boat ramp and had our boat docked in a rented slip all week. It's great to have full hookup for your RV so close to the lake. The pool is an awesome perk to come back to after a day of boating. They had an amazing fireworks show that exceeded my local township's show at home. The next night on the 5th they had live music right by the pool, so cool. Really impressed with that the new ownership is doing to this place, lots of updates in progress. And their new restaurant in downtown Saxton was awesome too - Roadhouse Tavern. If I had to give them two suggestions on what it would take to get to 5 stars: update your bathrooms, and improve the laundry situation. The bathrooms were clean and functional, but very dated. The laundry situation kind of sucked. There were three washers and dryers available for pay (which is fine), but they were inside the lodge which has limited hours. So you can only do laundry from 10am-5pm which are prime boating hours, and furthermore you are competing with the housecleaning staff for the cabins who are using them to change over the linens there. And finally, the dryers were very inefficient. After 90 mins of dryer time, the laundry was still damp and we had to drive into Saxton to use the laundromat there because the lodge was closing. For people coming back everyday off the boat at 430pm with wet towels and bathing suits, we needed a better option.

Love, Love, Love this place!. Staff are Wonderful, campground is very well taken care of. Bathhouse are always clean. Something to do every weekend for young and old alike. Nice dog park for your doggos to run and mingle. Highly recommend especially if you are looking for a Seasonal spot for your RV. 5 years and counting.

We had a great visit at this campground. The sites were nice and it looks like they are working on improving even more of them. The camp store had a few of the essentials one may forget/run out of. We docked a boat for the week. The ramp was a tad shallow and set up different than we are used to, but we managed just fine. The spots were a little bit tight in the dock, but if everyone ties off properly and uses fenders, it's not an issue. The no wake zone was great for kayaking and not a bad ride to the deeper part of the lake. The resort provided a very helpful channel map of the no wake area - which does have some large shallow rocks. The lower end of the lake was a lot less busy and we certainly enjoyed it. If the campground continues updating and improving, I suspect word will get around quickly and it will be much harder to get a reservation in about 3 years or so!
