Despite its secluded feel, the park remains easily accessible from major highways, making it a convenient stop for those exploring the northeastern Oklahoma landscape.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Water-based recreation is the primary draw here, with the lake being a local favorite for fishing for catfish, bass, and crappie. This park is not easy to get to.😲 And it's way out in the middle of nowhere. 🫣 But it is one of the nicest COE locations I have visited in weeks! 😀Very well manicured✂️ Very nice beach with real sand. The water isn't particularly clean looking but this is the nicest beach I've seen anywhere in months 🏖️ It's disappointing that once again I was walking around with a plastic bag picking up trash from inconsiderate entitled campers. Cigarette butts and cans everywhere! 😡 A garbage can is provided right at the bathroom! And there's two huge dumpsters! I think there should be an adjustment to the system, of course they would have to come to inspect your site when you vacate it but if you leave trash then you can't book again next year!

This was a quiet, inexpensive overnight stay with a gorgeous view. I can't speak to the restrooms or other public facilities because we're in a motorhome and didn't need them. But it was almost heavenly to sit outside in the quiet of the morning, watching the lake and listening to all of the different birds singing. I didn't give 5 stars because of the rough road (some of it washboard gravel) to get back there. It's over 4 miles off the road -- excellent for getting away from it all but a little rough for our Class A. But I'd definitely go back again when in the area.

Beautiful setting on the lake. Sites are far enough apart so you have privacy. Only 4 stars because the bathrooms were not very clean. We were there 4 nights and I don't think anyone cleaned them. Ran out of toilet paper and not replenished. Shower is a push button so the water only stays on a very short time. Not heated in bathroom so pretty cold in 50 degree weather.

Very nice campground with lakeview. Clean bathroom with shower facilities. Very friendly and polite campground host. Really enjoyed staying over there. However in woman's bathroom, 1 toilet was unclean. Woman's Shower was not working.
