AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Yes, the other reviews are correct. This used to be a quaint and safe lodging for the night. Since the new owner has taken over, this has turned into a dirty, expensive, unsafe and nasty place. This is in regards to the RV Park. For God's sake, please stay at Mountain Gate, a Casino or even a Rest Stop instead of here. Here is the list of nasty's: 1.When we called for a night, they tried to insist that we pay ahead because there were only "2 places left!". In fact, when we arrived, there were 7 spots open. 2. The lawn, sorry, weeds now, were covered in dog shit. We spent the arrival picking up old dog shit for the first 5 minutes of our arrival. 3. There were permanent renters there that had NASTY campers. Tarps, trash and meth head real estate. 4. The restrooms were dirty, overfilling with trash and just nasty. Shower water was tepid. 5. The parking lot has vagrants walking through and it is very, very dark. We did not feel safe. At 1 am, someone decided to have their drunken friends yell and hoot themselves drunk. Did any manager come out and inspect, of course not! Bottom line, the new owners are driving this park into the ground. STAY AWAY!!!

Attention owners - What are you doing? This place was a destination for many because of the basics. Clean rooms, quality basic food offerings & friendly staff. Bacon eggs toast OJ good coffee not the off the wall items you have now. When you purchased this place you purchased a place that has been historically what people want when traveling through & it just needed a little help to get back to amazing. It didn’t need major changes. Now it does. Get back to the basics. Think about it, where is there another sit down restaurant nearby? You have an opportunity. Stop throwing discounts around, serve the basic menu again with large portions, clean the rooms, like really clean the rooms (bedbugs, really? C’mon) & get the staff in line or replace with people that are actually friendly. Trust me on this. Your current path is leading to a shutdown. Good lord fix the sign outside! Are you trying to be a horror film hotel? You CAN do it & the people want it.

I saw the other reviews and I wonder if they stayed at the same motel I did?!??? I spent the night last night because of a storm and I found my room was perfect. If I want to stay at the Avanti or Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco I will and I have. If I am in Northern California I will stay at the Hi Lo.

Upon arrival, despite an email that said the room was paid, I had to pay again. In the assigned room, the bed was not made, the trash bin was overflowing, and wet towels were piled on the toilet in the bathroom. When the desk was told about this, the response was, "Well, I guess I can give you the room next to door." Upon receiving that key, the room stank of cigarette smoke, despite a sign clearly stating, "Light up, pay up." If the previous occupant was charged for the smoke cleaning, what happened to the funds - since they certainly weren't spent on getting the smell out. Upon entering the bathroom of this new room, black was found around the edges of the shower; not certain if it's black mold or just a failure to clean. Either way, it was late, and the decision was made to not ask to move again, instead, after paying more that $100 for this room, the shower would just not be used. I wish the final straw had been noted before going to bed, but upon waking the next morning, it was discovered that the sheets appeared to have been used to wipe the anuses of the previous occupants and were then not washed, because they appeared to have fecal stains and the toilet was not used during this stay, so there was no way they occurred during this visit. The property is disgusting, the employees are not helpful, and the room was more expensive than the Motel 6 at the other end of town. Never again

Kind of a typical non-chain motel. Showing its age, reasonably comfortable, clean, fairly priced. The same is true of the attached restaurant, which has pretty sort hours (0700-1930).

RV camping, great check in. Was able to do it digitally. Didn’t use any of their facilities other than power & water but we will star this place to come back when we need to. Quiet & they were kind enough to spread everyone out so we weren’t all clumped together. Little picnic table behind us. Quiet & just what these two weary travelers needed.

When we walked in, we could tell immediately that they care about cleanliness, as the bathroom was sparkling and the beds neat. This was a quick one-night stay as we were on a road trip, so not having a fridge or microwave wasn’t a problem. They have dispensers for the soap and shampoo, which I like. The only thing I would change is having more towels and pillows, but it was already midnight when I pulled in, so it wasn’t the end of the world, and I would’ve asked the front desk if it was a multi-day trip. We had the 2 queen room, and it had a shower but no tub, so just be aware of that (or ask when you book) if you have littles. Overall, a nice local place to stay.

Hands down, best friend chicken dinner!!! Highly recommend! Everything is yummy. Biscuits & gravy are my favorite 😋 friendly people work there, give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Ive stayed here twice now soon to be a third time. Rooms are always super clean. Owner and employees are always super nice. Never had to deal with any noisy hotel neighbors.

Great for a pit stop on a long journey. Reasonable price, comfy bed. The cleanliness was top notch. It's not the Ritz, but it's clean safe and convenient. A weary travelers best friend.
