Very nice, remote campground. Did get super loud at night from a factory or something and the train but still enjoyable. Wish there was more of beach for us to take the dogs to but still enjoyed our stay.

We just stayed here the 1-4 it was amazing. Super clean bathrooms, the camp sights are huge. It's was not a far drive from anything we wanted to go do. The beach was nice although the water wasn't the cleanest at the beach, there are many beaches close by.

This campground is located in a beautiful setting. There are new pit toilets that are the cleanest I have ever seen, and maintained daily. The campsites are large, private, and spaced out. There is a large grassy area by the beach that is mowed regularly. The water is sandy bottom, and very nice to swim in. The camp host was also very friendly! Our family had an amazing time during our stay!

This was a beautiful stop over. Paul and Heather were very welcoming and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean. The views are breathtaking, especially at sunset. No water fill or dump station. Remember, this is a rustic campground, so be sure to fill the water before you arrive.

I just got back from an 8-night stay, very nice campground ! It's probably the best laid out one I have been, too. The camp host was very nice! The bathrooms very clean, smelled clean even ! It has a small beach if you're all about beaches I would look elsewhere 😉 Lots to see and do within an hour drive of campground

We camped here for 3 nights. It is a beautiful campground. It is rustic. There is no electricity and no dump if you have a trailer. There are dumps in the area that can be used if needed for a small fee. No showers. The lake is clear and warm enough to easily enjoy. Small but clean fine sand beach. We loved the beautiful hemlock trees and the trail through them. It was very quiet during our stay except that you can hear traffic from across the bay. We would go again! It's a good stopping point for a trip through the UP.

I’ve grown up camping this area my whole life and am a local. The campground is 5 star. But the campground hosts were beyond terrible. Every time we were met by them, it was with aggression. The first night, I admit, we were loud but not beyond the fireworks being blasted all around us. It was July 4th weekend and usually it’s a more energetic weekend. Our two sites had mingled into one site fire and at 10:30pm we were met by the two yelling at everyone to disperse and turn the music down, which we did without confrontation. The second night we respected their concerns and at 11pm were still met with aggression that our generator had to be turned off (Honda Gen. quietest on the market) or the cops would be called, we’d be given 30 minutes to leave and receive a DUI for driving(their words). The morning we left, we made sure our sites were spotless, even cleaned up garbage that was left there from before and fixed some old ruts. We received a call almost immediately from the host that if we didn’t return to pick up a can that was left in the fire pit, that the sheriff and DNR would be called to issue us a tickets. They never once approached us calm or with any respect. We even spoke with the neighbors near us and they stated that we weren’t nothing to complain about. So if your going to stay here, make sure your okay with going right to bed at 10pm and don’t make a noise louder than a conversation.

Nice campground, a little pricey considering there are no hookups or real bathrooms- just pit toilets. You’re paying for the proximity to the lake. Also be warned that if you are trying to follow the rules and attempt to get a non reservable site ‘by the rules’ you are doomed to not get a site here. Hosts don’t usually care about the rules, if you come in and leave a chair anytime and pay your $, it’s yours. Also, last time we were there they allowed dogs to run around free ‘as long as they aren’t bothering anyone’. Well it bothered our dog who we don’t allow to run around, and I cleaned up much more poop than usual too. But the sunsets are beautiful and the beach is nice.

This is a very well kept campground! Absolutely spotless, large (very large) camp sites, trails connecting the sites, with other walking trails around. The only thing we didn't like was their Beach area....it wasn't very clean, there is a spot of sand, but it doesn't reach to the water. It was disappointing because all my son wanted to do on vacation was swim! But overall it was a nice campground and we would recommend it to anyone that needs to stay somewhere!
