Unfortunately The electrical breaker for 30 amp was busted had to use the outlet 20 amp. No swimming at dock but found a nice big rubber float to lie on in the water. Nice clean lake.

This is so far one of our favorite thousand trails parks. Absolutely beautiful grounds. The lake is nice. The workers are friendly and helpful. We have a 46ft rv and do fine getting to the sites. This place is so pretty and peaceful. Some small stores around anything decent for groceries is a drive so come prepared.

This 1,000 trails was everything we had hoped for. The sites were nice and clean and so were the bath houses. There is plenty of beauty being by the Lake and even 2 conviennent places for us to launch our kayaks. The pool was very refreshing and a good size considering all the kiddos that we encountered. (I fell asleep on a beach chair and woke up to 23 children 😊)( all well behaved). We are actually going back at the end of summer again on our way back to snow birding in Florida!

Hidden Cove is on Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama - a gorgeous, deep, clear-water lake that earns the five stars all on its own. The campground sits right on the shoreline with a large observation deck overlooking the water, a dock, and a boat launch - and if you have paddle boards, you need to bring them here. We spent a full day out on the lake and hanging on the dock and it was one of the highlights of our whole trip. Let's be honest about the sites themselves - standard Thousand Trails sites are nothing to write home about, and that's true here too. Functional, not fancy. But when the lake access is this good, the sites almost become irrelevant. The campground is the amenity. The clubhouse is very much a product of the 90s and isn't shy about it, but the kids didn't care one bit - they found the piano in there and that was basically the end of the story. Sometimes the simplest things win. The laundry facilities worked well and were reasonably priced - always a win when you're living on the road. The pool looked great and we'd expect it to be a big draw in season - it just wasn't open during our visit. No complaints there, just worth knowing if that's a priority for your trip. One heads-up for bigger rigs: the drive in and some of the interior roads are narrow and winding with trees hugging the edges. We found it a little sketchy maneuvering our rig through certain sections. If you're pulling something large, plan accordingly and go slow. We'll definitely be back. The lake alone makes it worth the trip.

Not only did they allow us to check in early when we arrived at 10 AM, but this place is extremely spacious. Very wide open driving through. Although there are not many trees around most of the sites, we appreciate the fact that it was easy maneuvering our 44ā€˜ RV. We were lucky enough to be given and ā€œendā€œ site with grass on both sides of the RV. Love, love it thank you hidden Cove, Thousand Trails.

Site are bigger with lots of yard room. Beautiful lake views. a friend visited and stayed in a cabin. We were very pleased with it filled with all her needs. All staff are very pleasant to deal with except the young manager. On multiple exchanges, she acts as if I am bothering her, little to no eye contact, ordering tone when explaining rules. top it off with...my first time out of camp,I was at the gate with all tags showing but couldn't find the written gate code on my papers. She came to the office as I sat there, ignored me and let me stuggle for quite some time until I had to get out and walk inside and ask only to get it with a smirk. She is the only negative to this beautiful campground.

This could have been a much better experience. Biggest complaint is that a scheduled disconnect of electric was never communicated. When we called the property manager after the outage, that’s when we learned of the situation. We were told it shouldn’t be much longer, it turned out to be several hours. Any kind of heads-up and we could have been prepared. It is a nice property but nothing to do in the fall/winter. There weren’t any activities planned. There’s nothing closer than 30 minutes and the roads are treacherous. The lots in ā€œCā€ are spacious but not paved and not level. Our auto-level on the rig was not happy and it took 20 minutes to work out the kinks. Our rig dragged in the area coming out of ā€Cā€ and did some damage. I’d like to believe that this place is great in the spring/summer but for now this review shall remain in place. There were some beautiful areas around Smith’s Lake.

It does take a few twists and turns to get there, but it is so worth it. The park has beautiful views of the lake. An observation point that was fun to take the pups swimming on. The park was well maintained, all hookups were ready to access. Signage was adequate. The pool was pretty and clean. The only downside was no cell or tv signal at all, not even for a fee. Now this was able to be solved by going into town. And truthfully it does force you to put the phones down, but we needed to keep in touch with family, etc. So just give family, work the heads up before you lose signal. Besides that a perfect stay, quiet, friendly, will definitely come back.

No rooms it's an RV resort. Staff was friendly. The place was huge. Pool area was nice and clean, pool is only 4 1/2 ft deep. There was a basketball court and volleyball area near the pool, along with restrooms. The playground was near the front of the park along with a little putt putt course.

It’s fine; has full hookups and pull through sites. We came in mid-June during heat wave so was very hot and site didn’t have trees. Everyone’s A/Cs were maxed! Nice lady at the gate and quite helpful. Would definitely stay again but probably Spring or Fall

Been really disappointed this year. Still don't have lights at the dock. Super dark at night. For the last two weeks one of the dock fingers has been broken. Like broken off!!!! Now the first finger is broken as well. Don't try to dock or walk on the dock at night. I would think that's a liability. It's been pointed out by many, but nothing has been fixed. Don't get me wrong, the staff is great. I believe their hands are tied because of corporate. At least, I hope that's the case. Lots of wash out in the gravel roads as well. Hidden Cove has so much potential. We're going to have 4 yards of gravel delivered ourselves to place in front of our camper. Aggravating!!!

An okay camp ground but the amenities were all a bit run down. They were getting the pool ready to open it up - May17, 2025. The pool area looked really nice but there was no shade around the pool. The roads leading to the campground are a bit rough, which made for a bumpy ride as we got closer.

It's called Hidden Cove for a reason. It was definitely off the beaten path, but once we got there, it was great! RV sites are level, spacious, and plenty of room to fit our 45' toy hauler and our both our back deck and front porch and still space to park the truck. Staff called to check on us when we needed to add to our stay until we could get a flat tire replaced. The view of the lake is beautiful.

Amazing location right on the lake with many green spaces for a playground, mini golf, horseshoes and disc golf. Swimming in the lake was fun and refreshing. The roads were well maintained overall with only a few areas of washout. Laundry was sufficient. Clubhouse was very large but a bit musty. 2 pool tables but only one works to play on. Air hockey worked. Free Internet at the clubhouse and laundry house was quite slow but more that enough for checking email (2 Mbps down 1 Mbps up). The pool was drained as they are waiting on a new liner but no timeline was given in when it would be complete.
