Hidden Cove RV Park Campground

July 2, 2025. Owner, Dennis Gartman, decided he was going to cut down trees. One fell on our 5th wheel (luxury, custom built and painted with a new RV Armor roof, our full-time home). It caused an estimated $32,000+ damage to the front cap, roof, and 2 slides. He doesn't have insurance. He said he'd take care of it and it would be fixed. He has refused to pay for our incidental expenses and has screamed at me that he wasn't paying us a dime, and has hung up on me. We reported him to the State Attorney General's office and he has ignored their two letters. As of January 24, 2026, we are still living out of boxes, incurring unforeseen expenses, and have no expected completion date for when the repairs will be finished. I wouldn't have stayed in the campground if I knew he didn't have liability insurance. This could have been you! Also, it's not such a great view of the river as he pushed all the dead trees over the bank.

Nice quiet campground, plenty of shade, felt very safe. Not many amenities to speak of but a good place to base out of for work. Plenty of space to walk or exercise the dog on the grounds out back.

Stayed for 4 days (but paid for a week) in one of the campers he rents out. Paid a $250 deposit plus the $400 to stay for the week and was supposed to get the $250 back at departure. We ended up leaving early because the water wasn’t hot and we couldn’t take a hot shower after work or wash dishes. We didn’t request a refund for the remaining days we didn’t stay, only that we get our deposit back. Owner has repeatedly refused to give us our deposit back and hangs up the phone every time we call now our number is blocked. Very unprofessional and honestly down right theft.

This guy is a scam artist. We in good faith paid $650 for the month. Had our camper delivered. Someone had a truck parked in the assigned campsite. Then the park owner tells me that was my issue. We couldn’t move it in. We asked for a partial rebate due to the situation and he decided he would scam us out of our money. Steer clear

Beautiful place! Right on the creek bank, with the ducks and squirrels, and the beautiful luxapalula creek! (Apologies if the spelling is incorrect) The price is reasonable and it’s only a few miles from Columbus, Mississippi! The only cons I found in my short time there, is they do not offer WiFi, and every so often he waters a field near the park with sewer water from the park, so depending on which direction the wind is blowing, some mornings it had mighty ripe smell! But it didn’t last long and was only a few times while I was there a month.
