This is a jewel of a campground! Considering the area around is busy with the hustle and bustle of the suburbs, when you come through the gates it feels like your leaving that busyness away and able to feel like your are far from it. Plenty of space, great sites and facilities but the lakeside views are hard to top. My favorite are the sunsets and relaxing vibes. Truly a jewel of a place to have a nice campground so close to the city.

Hidden Cove is an absolute gem! The cabins are beautiful, clean, and perfectly tucked into nature — the setting is peaceful and relaxing, with stunning views and plenty of space to unwind. You can really feel the care that goes into maintaining the property. What truly makes Hidden Cove stand out, though, is the staff. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, and genuinely eager to make your stay perfect. Any time we had a question or a small issue, someone was there to help almost immediately — their response time and attention to detail are incredible. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature with top-notch service, Hidden Cove is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

This place is great for camping. You can bring your tent or camping ren a cabin. This time we rent the space to set a camping tent. The is a grill so you can use it if you wish. There are space for each campist to have a seat and a table. There are also acces to water through a little faucets for campist. The place is great and you can also star a bonfire if you bring wood,.if you don't you can buy it there I The admission office. There are clean restrooms and also with AC. Great. A very clean space,.safe....beautiful. Thanks to the staff for keeping this place looking so gorgeous

I’ve been coming here regularly and it’s used to be a great place, but now people coming here and play loud musics for hours and the management doesn’t seem to care. They lacked having any security for almost 3 hours not a short time. No premium sites or other services was offered to us for this inconvenience by anyone.

We visited in July of 2025. While I know it is a campground, not a hotel, it is run down and in need revamp and updates. The sewer line sits sideways, the picnic table was old and rotting- I had table covers otherwise we would not have sat there… If want you want is truly no frills - then this is the place for you. It is wooded and functioning, but there is trash all over the sites including roofing nails in our spot, the restaurant/bar is closed (although advertised as open) and there is nothing really for kids (6 yrs and 8 yrs) to do as there is no playground. In the winter, this would make a good location to sit outside and enjoy nature, but in summer - with so many sites in full sun and no swim beach, it is kind of a dud... The girls working in the office could also benefit from customer service skills - smiles, hello and how can I help you would go a long way... Tree was grown so far over into our spot that we couldn't open our awning. Edited to add- we were in 43 and my email address matches this screen name- we had to edit my email address upon arrival because whoever took my registration completely butchered it. Checked in on the 10th and left early yesterday.

Oh how I loved camping here. Hidden Cove is just 16 miles from my house. Living in the city and being able to make a short drive to such a serene, beautiful area is awesome. You don't hear or see anything from the city and can just decompress making memories with friends.

A very nice and family place! The kids love the swimming in the lake. A very clean and large place for the weekends with grill places to BBQ. It has a marina and if you are boat lover you will like it too. Not to far from any side (east, west, north and south side of the metroplex. Do not forget to get you swimming items.

Hidden cove park and marina is a very well maintained campsite. We thoroughly enjoyed the first half of our day there. However there are a couple of complaints that I think should be mentioned in here. First: when we arrived to camp may 21st 2022, there was a burn ban in affect. No complaint on our end except all of the neighboring campers had firepits burning despite the ban. Around 6 pm a “security guard” approached us to make sure we weren’t burning anything in the fire pit, but instead of asking any other campers the dude just disappears. Our neighbors set up their camp literally 10 feet from our tent and started to burn a fire, and before we knew it we had to start packing up camp because of safety concerns. The wind was very very strong (28 mph) so the burn ban was obviously there for a reason. None of the other campers seemed to have any concern for anybody else around them. I know that the park itself has nothing to do with this, but we also happened to observe young children throwing rocks at baby ducks. Overall this campsite was very promising in the beginning but I’m glad we didn’t stick around because who knows what could’ve happen with the strong wind and the raging fires.

We stayed for a long weekend, Thursday through Monday. We reserved a full hookup site nearest the hiking trails. We were very close to restrooms and cabins and the hiking trails started only a few hundred feet away. The trails were well maintained and easy to follow. Our three dogs thoroughly enjoyed the stay and daily walks. No parking on the grass. Lots of campers brought their dogs and all were leashed and friendly. It was perfect!
