Hidden Haven RV Park

A place where disorder reigns, and leadership has already surrendered.” To speak plainly — Hidden Haven RV Park is hidden only in name. What it conceals is not serenity, but poor management, disorganization, and a complete lack of hospitality. In the teachings of strategy, one judges a leader by the order of their camp. By that measure, this park has already lost the battle. 1. Communication: A Failed Chain of Command The phone system is tangled between the RV park and the owner’s construction business. Calls go unanswered. Voicemails disappear into silence. Office hours seem to exist only in theory. “An army without communication is already defeated.” — Sun Tzu 2. Cleanliness: The Grounds Reflect the Leader The laundromat may have new machines, but the floors told the truth: thick layers of human hair, dog hair, and neglect. No warrior would command respect if their own house were in such disorder. 3. Locked Bathrooms, No Codes, No Help We never received bathroom access codes. No calls returned. No staff available. Facilities might as well have been ruins sealed behind stone. 4. A Community Without Spirit The guests were silent, withdrawn, and unwelcoming. Not a single greeting. Not a single conversation. The atmosphere felt less like a haven and more like an outpost abandoned by morale. 5. The Owners: Curt, Unfriendly, and Always Ready for Conflict The only interactions we had with the owners (a husband and wife) were negative. No welcome. No kindness. Only nitpicking and scolding over trivialities. “A ruler who lacks grace earns only resistance.” — Toranaga Their tone was curt, cold, condescending — as though guests were intruders, not customers. 6. Overall This park fails at the simplest duties of leadership, hospitality, and human courtesy. Hidden Haven is not a haven at all. It is a disordered camp ruled by discourtesy and neglect. We left disappointed, unwelcome, and relieved to depart. Verdict If you value: • respect, • cleanliness, • communication, • or even basic human decency… Then steer your caravan elsewhere. “Choose your battleground wisely. A poor camp weakens even strong travelers.”

We stayed here for a year and 9 months and it's a nice quiet place that's secluded and away from the main roads. Family friendly and just a short 5 to 10 min drive to many restaurants and lots of shopping. Walmart is about 10 mins away and a target is being built that's even closer. Laundry facilities are bigger than most resorts.

We stayed the night on our way home heading south in 95. Great rates for an overnight with all hookups! Angela took our call en route and readily accomodated us with only a few hours notice. Many other RV parks nearby either didn't answer their phone, wouldn't take same-day reservations or were way overpriced. Grounds are well kept and you can see the big efforts they're making towards future amenities. Nice big lots with easy pull-throughs. It'll be really pretty when all the many trees mature. It was a bit difficult to find our site at night, but we managed. Thank you Angela for all your help! Regards 🙏☺️

Grounds and bath house are immaculately clean! Management is very friendly & helpful! Nice neighborly atmosphere! Fun, new kids playground. Dog Friendly!!! (Please remember to always pick up after your fur baby. Don't ruin it for the rest of us with dogs!) Update: Brand new laundromat on site!!

These folks really have big plans for this place. The sites are spot on and level and full hook-up. They are still building things, but the laundary (not open yet) area has to be the largest I've ever seen in a campground....very nice! I was amazed how quiet it was for such a huge camoground. Bathrooms were super clean and cleaned daily. Keep up the great work, we'll be back!!

I really like Hidden Haven! I live here full-time and have been here for a little over a year. It's clean, quiet, and the neighbors are always willing to help each other with whatever is needed. Also, the prices on spaces are pretty good compared to other RV parks in the area. I especially like the bathhouse that is on site in case your RV doesn't have a bathroom or if it's malfunctioning. Also, there is a renovated playground. Soon, a new building will be completed that will house new offices, a laundromat, and a mini store! Extra vehicle storage is coming soon, as well as plans for an actual mini storage area. I definitely recommend Hidden Haven RV Park to anyone and everyone!! 😁👍🏾

* Nice Campground with good daily rates, great monthly rates, and very nice staff. * convenient to Smithfield, Garner, Raleigh, Durham, Cary, etc. * Amenities are few, but they have plans for expansion and improvements. * Office is hard to find. I attached a photo to try to help you find it. Office has frontage on highway 70. Braswell construction is the sign on the front, but once you go in you will find a very helpful staff to assist you. * I give it between 4 and 5 stars for overall value. I rounded up because of a very helpful and kind staff. * My wife and I will be back. Hope this helps someone. Thanks.

My wife and I speak the weekend here to attend the pickle festival. It isn’t much at the moment but the base structure is nice. There’ll be no problem for any size rig. Plenty of pull thru sites and some back in. I chose site B33 so I could be along the tree line and close to the latrines. Very minimal leveling needed and only because I’m a little OCD lol. It’s close to I-95 but far enough away you don’t hear the traffic. The latrines and showers are nice, large stalls and were clean. They also have a nice little pavilion but that’s it for now. There are plans for more amenities so be patient. I have Verizon and at my site I had 3 bars and 5G. They do have free wifi and it was good at my site (I didn’t have full wifi strength) but the cell data was a little faster. At the gas station on the corner is a Brothers Italian Kitchen, very good and would recommend. The Carolina Premium Outlet mall is just a few minutes up the road along with many restaurants. It is a nice, peaceful campground with lots of potential. I would recommend it and would definitely stay again.

Peaceful, quiet and reasonably priced. It isn't over crowded yet. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, and I95. Wifi is good by the bathhouse. Nice covered sitting area and bathhouse is very clean. This is a newer RV park so they are still working on adding more amenities. The lots are pretty level. Owner is super nice and willing to correct any problems you may have. They regularly mow the grass and spray for insects. No issues with water pressure. We've been here 2 months.

Limited services. No internet, no cable, no store. Our campsite was infested by ants. I got a couple dozen bites while setting up. I still have sores on my hands. They climbed up the stabilizer and we have been fighting them in the camper for a week. We never found the office. They say they have one, but there were no signs that we could see. We will go elsewhere next time. Hope it improves - great potential.

This has become our home base when we are in the area. Owner is still making improvements as the campground is fairly new. Easy access to I-95 makes it ideal. Owner is currently in process of making access to the park easier by building new access road there is even a small remote post office for outgoing items in adjoining park. You will enjoy the quiet with the occasional sound of freedom flying over from Seymour Johnson AFB. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area.

This RV Park opened in late 2020. The owner has some great plans for the place: pool, playground, putt-putt course, all of which he intends to get done in the next year. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and how thoughtful the owners were. They checked on us upon arrival, offered us fresh veggies from their garden, and shared some info regarding the place. I prefer staying here over RVacation Campground, which is close by (we spent one night and left). These folks are definitely much more hospitable and genuine. We highly recommend this place.
