Hidden Hilltop Family Campground

There was a lot of activities for the kids which was great. They had a lot of fun. Sadly, our campimg experience itself was quite poor. There was an overwhelmingly strong scent of septic sewage at our camp site. It was constant and we couldnt be outside in our camp site to sit at the table or do anything oufside by our camper because the horrid smell lierally took our breath away. We had to keep all our camper windows closed the whole trip and the smell still came through our camper. We confirmed it was not our camper creating the smell. We complained to staff about our neighbours creating the smell as they didnt have the proper piping set up which we tbought was the cause where they had an opwn exposed sewage pipe- the staff asked them to fix it. Upon our neighbours departure Sunday morning, , we realized it was in fact the camp site itself and not our neighbours camper. There are, what seems to be, holding tanks innthe ground behind this site. Its possible that was the issue. I am not sure. I dont know if we will be back. As its a livelg camp geound, but i dont know if all the sites stink so bad like that. I dont know its worth the risk of smelling extreme septic again for a whole weekend . It was a rough weekend with the constant pungent smell. So disappointing.
