This is more of a residential trailer park. Only a few animals. Constant smell of sewer at the campsite. RV spots just dirt parking, not level. Lots of trash on the grounds. Very disappointed.

Small, quiet park with numerous full-timers. The wildlife was incredible, and fun as you could even hand feed the deer. My only complaint was the grass had not been mowed recently so tall grass at campsites and even taller around the lake. At no fault of the campground, the sewer aerobic system was about 50 yards from the campsites - which results in a lot of moist ground/standing water which escalated the mosquitoes. Impossible to walk outside past 6pm without being covered in a mere seconds. Also grasshoppers everywhere!! It was like a plague of grasshoppers (this seems to be everywhere in/around Jacksboro, not specific to the campground) Verizon cell service maintained 2-3 bars. Wifi is very spotty and not reliable.

Great place to stay very kid and pet friendly. Daily rate was reasonable and they allowed us to stay and not pay until the next day. Several monthly renters but the sites were kept very clean and the people were so friendly. Gave it a 4 star only because the road to the place was gravel and due to rain muddy. I would definitely stay again if we are passing through.

I've found a little peace of paradise here on earth. Located 5 miles North of Town on Wichita Falls HWY 281 AMAZING EXOTIC WILDLIFE, Friendly Folks, Fishing, Playground, Laundry, Bathhouse. Quiet Little Escape. Close enough to town to pick-up those items on your List.
