I have agonized over this review, going back and forth between five stars and one star. In the end, I decided to go with the higher rating, but I just couldn't do a five. I had my medications shipped here ahead of our arrival, and I can not say how grateful I am for that. They literally kept the office open late so they could give them to me that day. The lady at the desk was super friendly, and she introduced us to another employee who was also as sweet as southern tea. When we got to the site, we saw that it was right on the river and thought it would be nice to pull in so we could have the shade open and view the river. The map did not indicate our site as "back-in only," so we asked the wonderful young lady that showed us our site if we could pull in rather than back in. She said she didn't see why not and helped us get parked. We quickly realized that it just wasn't going to work because we couldn't quite reach the pedestal with our electrical line. We put stuff away and set to getting turned around. Next thing we know, some jerk in a truck comes and is screaming that it's back in only. My husband was trying to explain to the man that we realized it was back in only, and we were working on fixing it. He just kept yelling that it was back in only. My husband was trying to bite his tongue and not throw the very sweet employee under the bus. But the man just kept yelling it was back in only and called my husband a very inappropriate name. That set my husband off who called him a worse name and told him that if it was back in only, he needed to tell his staff that. Come to find out, this instigator was the property manager. That set the tone for our stay. The park is absolutely beautiful, an idyllic setting on the Bogue Chitta River, perfect for a family get away or for a couple to go hide away in the woods. The sites are huge, and even if the place filled up, everyone would still have more than enough room. As you explore the beautiful and romantic park, you will be treated to rolling hills of forested land with natural springs sprouting up from the ground. It did seem like there was plenty to do for adults and kids alike, but it wasn't quite season yet. Plus, after the interaction with the manager, my husband didn't really feel comfortable there anymore, so we didn't get out to explore very much. We were there in March 2025, and shortly after we left, the area was pummeled by severe weather, including tornadoes. We were happy to see on Facebook that everyone was okay, and we hope they didn't experience much damage. This isn't a bad park. In fact, had it not been for the tone setting incident, I am certain we would have loved this place. So come on down for a big ol helping of Southern charm and nice, quiet, relaxing vacation in the woods of Mississippi.

This is a place that cares about their community and are super friendly!! It's a beautiful place to take your family, super clean and just plain ole good wholesome fun!! If you want to escape from the craziness of day to day life, I HIGHLY recommend Hidden springs! To Mr. Don and the amazing ladies in the office, thank you for accommodating me and my children during a time we were unsure how to navigate. Making us feel so welcome and like family, is something we won't forget! My little daughter said "this is the BEST day ever, mommy"! Made my heart melt and it's all thanks to you all!!

We went to the campground in our RV camper after hearing from our neighbor friends what a great place it is and what a good Valentine's day event they host. We were not disappointed! We enjoyed walking the grounds with our dogs, buying boiled peanuts, cracklin, and honey from one of the regulars who were selling it from their campsite, fishing in the River and Springs, walking down to the karaoke around the campfire on Friday night, going to the Saturday morning Bingo (lots of awesome prizes), joining the other campers on Saturday night in the event hall for a special annual Valentine's dinner with delicious steak, shrimp, salad, baked potatoe, and dessert. The staff made the dinner so special with decorations and candles on the table. After dinner we enjoyed the entertainment from Thomas "little killer" Sanders who performed a tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis and we were in awe at his talent! We made new friends and memories. So glad we found this getaway just 2 hours away from our New Orleans home. We will be back again! Thank you Don and rest of the team for your welcoming hospitality!

I rented a cabin for a weekend getaway from the city & had an amazing time! It’s dog friendly, lots of amenities, river tubing, and pre-planned activities for guests. I will definitely be going back!

We have had some of the best times there. Kids have the creek with the rope swing, 2 pools and never fail to find new friends. Staff is great. Friendly and now the store is wonderful. Any issues and someone is always there to help out. Always something to do. Cornhole tournaments, horseshoes, kids activities. Great place to make great memories

Been going to this place for over 30 plus years and have never been treated or talked to as poorly as I myself and child where the new manager has a very nasty attitude and plus she’s very rude. Always has been a very nice place to visit with friends and family but watch out for the so called nice new manager she’s not and only for that reason I gave a one star.

Full time RVers and this is hands down one of the best campgrounds in the nation. Beautiful land tucked back into the river. Always clean and they are always fixing or making improvements. Very family friendly and management is so friendly and helpful. We loved every moment of our stay.
