Overflowing garbage cans, very unlevel spots, hookup boxes that interfere with your neighbors, pitch black campground with very few working lights.. it's better than nothing...

Nice little campground. Lots of trees, full services most sites. Walking distance to golf and shopping.

We camp here every year for family get-togethers. No wifi, but that's the point! The kids are out there riding their bikes, skateboards, running, and just plain having a good time. We do get cell service, so that works out fine Bathrooms are a bit outdated, but for the most part, kept clean, and the showers have lots of hot water. Propane fire pits are allowed, but open fires are not, as the risk is high (understandable). Propane and charcoal BBQs allowed, but not provided, gotta bring your own. Some RV spots are a bit on the smaller side, but others do have ample room, follow the guidelines when booking if you have slide-outs Water, power, and drain are also at RV spots, as well as dump station on the way out. Dog friendly!! It is not fancy, but for the price, is more than adequate for our needs, and will continue to be here anually **It would be nice if they built a walkway to the park tho....!!!

If you're looking for a place to park an RV while you visit family in the area, or are passing through this location is convenient. Navigating the park in a larger (35+ foot) RV is tight but mostly navigable ( except the turn around at the back that is too tight for anything over 20 feet) Spots are just pedestals off the paved road. Hookups are padlocked. After you arrive and complete an online check in, you call HVL security and they come to unlock them for you. *Spot #24 The 50 amp ground is loose and set off errors on our surge protector. 30 amp worked fine. The water pipe is cracked/spraying, and the water pressure is outrageous. Do NOT try to use without a pressure regulator or a patched hose, The pressure was 120+ psi Watch out for black widows and rattlesnake

The nice thing about this campground is you can book it online or just drive up and book it from your phone when you arrive. You then call the 24-hour security guy to come out and unlock the utilities. Carefully pick your neighbors, as I had one RV that was hooked to 50 amp power and had two additional generators running all night. Hopefully that's not a common occurrence, but it did smell bad and ruin the mood.

We love spending time here. My parents camp in their RV here many many time. I myself havent camped here yet but we enjoy coming down and joining them when they do. My girls love walking the creek, riding their bikes and running all around. I'd give it 5 stars but again I havent camped here myself yet. (:

The playground is outside and around the corner and down the street from the campground. You can see it, but it is hard to get to. Small spaces, close together.. Not very quiet, lots of in and out traffic, especially late at night. Hidden Valley Lake is NOT accessible to campers. Closest lake that is available is Clearlake. Swampy and dank. Rude staff manning the gate, but bathrooms are clean. Not great for families.

Great spot for kids, playground, basketball court; golf, driving range and restaurant across from the entrance.
