Great campground, the owners were very kind and we enjoyed the Oysters. The sites are nice, and there is a beautiful view at the ones on the edge of the campground. Great central location if you are spending a few days exploring various parts of the Cabot trail.

We camped here during a bicycle tour of the Cabot Trail. We had initially reserved a tent site, but upgraded to a cabin when we arrived due to rain in the overnight forecast. The view from our cabin was beautiful! The cabins do not have electricity and you need to bring your own bedding, but that was perfect for us as we had our camping gear with us.

My family and I rented The farmhouse. It was very nice and clean and well kept. The bedrooms were not big but we essentially were just sleeping there so it was perfect The beds were a little squeaky but it just added to the nostalgia:-) Alex, the owner and his wife were very accommodating. We took a drive around the campground and it was beautiful. I highly recommend this place :-)

Amazing views and friendly staff, owners are very welcoming as well. Good mix of smaller private sites, as well as larger open sites with the ocean views. We camped so didn't get to take a look at the cabins but outside they looked well kept and cozy. Showers and washrooms were clean. Great stop along the Cabot trail.

We stopped because the signage enticed us with "fresh oysters" and WOW are they the best freshest oysters we ever had. The campground looks pretty nice, although we are not staying. Perhaps we will come back someday to enjoy the campsite and more fresh wonderful oysters. Also serving the delicious organic big spruce beer here

Horrible management and campground. Pay by the minute to use the showers. Campsites are on top of each other. firewood is overpriced. STAY AWAY

My friend and I stayed in the light house cabin on a private little path called light house lane. It provided shelter on a windy October night and kept us warm. A comfortable bed and solar lights make this little cabin everything you need. The spectacular view of the Atlantic ocean made this magical hidden gem a place with will surely revisit.

Hide Away Campground is a gem along the Cabot Trail! These guys grow and harvest their own oysters, it doesn't get any fresher than that. Best oysters I have ever had! I would dive the Cabot trail just to visit Hide Away Campground. This is also at the gateway to Meat Cove, a fantastic coastal drive. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming, they are proof of the infamous Cape Breton hospitality.

Lovely campground to spend a few days with or without your kids. Serviced or unserviced sites available, with a good mix of wooded or field options. The bathrooms are usually clean and well kept, but no one available if issues come up overnight /early morning. The showers are $1 per 5 minutes, so bring loonies if you're going to stay a few days and need a rinse. Great for families with kids - space to run and explore, a wooden playground, and a path to Aspy River for adventures. Great for adult or group camping too - sites near each other, lots of space, quiet hours don't start til 11 pm and no comments or complaints about 420 activities. There's a great beach, down a rocky path, at the end of the road. Lots of space, sand, and surf! Gas station and grocery nearby for whatever you forgot. Ice, kindling, wood and oysters on-site for purchase. We've stayed here twice and will be back again!

Excellent place. Only complaint is the mattress was a little bit springy. Otherwise the people were pleasant and the scenery is beautiful.
