This place has spectacular views and well marked trails. You can also bring your own kayak, rent one or rent a paddle boat. The kayak launch is super easy to maneuver! Can't wait to come back!

Huge park and very well maintained. It was busy the day I went which was a Sunday. $5 to park I thought was very reasonable. Falls are not the most spectacular in Georgia but worth the trip. Hiking trails are awesome but steep in places.

If you head to the Fall's View trail, be prepared for climbing. You should also be up to avoiding tripping hazards, as the trails are full of them. If you are up to the moderate hike, you will be rewarded with beautiful vistas. You will also likely see some seasonal fauna, which makes this fun to revisit. The rushing water and big rocks are the stars of this trail, which are most dramatic on the lower half of the loop. If you aren't ready to commit to the full loop, start with the lower path along the river. If you want to do the entire red loop, I recommend beginning with the upper half of the trail, which heads away from the water. It is sunnier and drier, then drops down to bring you back along the shadier riverside. Whether you hike this fast or meander slowly along the well marked path so you can stop to enjoy the many cool sights there are to see along the way, this trail is a winner. I simply caution that you prepare for some significant up and down climbing over boulders and such, if you plan to visit this part of the park

Visited on 2/22/25. We had a wonderful visit. We just came in for the day to hike the Falls Trail. I’ve been to a lot of the state parks in Georgia, and this is one of the best. It has beautiful waterfall views and a great hike. I would definitely visit here again!

DATE: New Year's Day 2025 This was such an Amazing experience! Hiking Tranquility Trail with a group of 50 women embracing nature was definitely Tranquil. The trail wasn't very difficult. Good for a new hiker, and the support of the group made it that much easier. The waterfalls were calming, peacefull and soothing to my spirit. What a great way to refresh & begin a new year! Wonderful area to explore.
