Amazing views of the tristate. This park is about 1.5 hours outside NYC and has great trails as well as picnic tables. A great weekend getaway to Northern NJ or close to the NY borderline. Very scenic and serene.

The monument and grounds are accessible and well kept. The views are spectacular and the entire site was free of litter and graffiti. The drive to and from was scenic and relaxing. I highly recommend a visit during the fall.

We visited in October while colors of trees were changing High Point has a fascinating sunset and is the last place in the state to observe the day's departing sun. The ncan be awsome there.

It's a nice family friendly park. The monument is worth a trip and is a great place for a visit for locals, tourists, and people visiting all the high points in America. Outside of the highpoint monument the park is fine. Nearby state parks in and outside of New Jersey offer a wider array of better camping spots and hiking opportunities particularly in Pennsylvania. Also this park has a fee to enter which is not common for other parks around, especially in Pennsylvania.

High Point State Park, home to the highest point in New Jersey, offers a wealth of material for various writing approaches. Vista of three states (New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania) from the monument at 1,803 feet above sea level. Include the extensive network of hiking, biking, and skiing trails, Lake Marcia for swimming and other water activities, camping options, and picnic areas. Dog-friendly policies, seasonal accessibility, and safety tips for hiking and encountering wildlife like bears.

We took the 3.24 miles “Monument trail” (red-green) loop. It is easily accessible from the parking near Interpretive Center. Hike is moderate and has clear guidance about the trails .We missed the greenery, but the view from the top was breath taking. Most of the restrooms were closed (maybe seasonal operations). But the one near beach parking lot , which was opened was not at all hygiene!!

Great day trip in the Tri State area. Beautiful views, rich history, trails for all levels of experience. Nice lakes and playgrounds make it a great day for picnics for couples and families! We recommend stopping at Up the Creek Cafe for some delicious food while you’re out in the area.

A beautiful park to visit. It may not be much in height, but it's the best NJ has to offer! There are lots of trails, playgrounds, a lake, places to sit down, and sights to see. We went in mid April and there was snow up there and so we had a huge snowball fight. Unfortunately, the base of the tower was closed, but understandably so as it was covered in ice.

Beautiful park. All sorts of activities to do in the winter. Ice fishing. Cross country skiing. Snowshoeing. I'm sure it's a blast to hike around in the summer too. The Rangers were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful that’s all I can say. It gets very windy so be prepared. If the weather says cool then it’s cold here at high point. The wind hits your face like a slap but the views are like no other. Walking hiking trails are everywhere and parking is adequate. You can see Jersey New York and Pennsylvania in one view. Must go if you live in tri state area.
