Water level was good, easy access with our kayaks. Perfect day with no one else even on the water. Looks like they're building a new beach area. That would be awesome and much needed.

Went there due to warm early Spring weather and camped. It's a well-maintained park and the CPW staff were diligent and helpful. It would be a great place for families as there's hiking and biking, a swim beach, horseshoe pits, and plenty of spots for a picnic or watching the sunset.

Nice place for the West where lakes are swimmable end to end. If you can go mid week in Spring or Autumn to avoid the weekend warriors, you'll perhaps have the lake largley to yourself to take a dip in the refreshing cold water..beautiful view of the Bookcliffs. Picnic shleters with BBQ, a changing room, a tree shaded small camground and childrens playground, two swim beaches, one on each side, old growth cottonwood and two boat launches. Seasonal paddleboard rentals available through GJ SUP.

Great place to camp if you're looking to explore Colorado National Monument. November is an excellent month to visit this park.

I frequently visit Highline Lake State Park going and coming to Grand Junction. The Mountain Bike trails are fun, peaceful and uncrowded, and I can ride my eMTB.
