We planned a spur-of-the-moment trip to Beaver’s Bend because of the beautiful fall weather. We stayed here during the first full weekend in November because Beaver’s Bend State Park was completely full. The camp host, Nancy, was very communicative texting me all the information I needed before arriving. Hochatown is located directly across from the entrance to the state park and is in between Hotchatiwn and Broken Bow. While there are several long—term rentals in the park, it was very quiet during our stay (except for falling acorns!). There is plenty of shade and the drive-through spaces are level. It can easily accommodate big rigs which can easily turn around in the park. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Nancy was very kind and helpful. The bathrooms and showers on site are new and very clean. There was plenty of room for our big family. Highly recommend!

Great location, quiet, the bathhouse is brand new and very nice! The owner Nancy is wonderful. The day we left our slide wouldn’t go back in and Nancy and a couple of the park’s residents went above and beyond helping us get on the road. Without them we would have been stuck and Nancy made us feel at ease about the situation even if we would have needed to stay another night. Can’t recommend them enough! Jill and Bryan Wiggins

We stayed at Hochatown RV Park for one night and really enjoyed it. The hostess was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The place was clean and quiet - perfect for a quick stop. Would definitely stay here again!

Great hostess. She was always a phone call away or right across the park, at trailer. Terrific bathhouses and bathrooms with laundry room. Great spots with nice yard and picnic tables. Allowed us to stay 3 hours after check out to do a few more activities with grand kids.

Not the most sightly of places. Camp sites are quite cramped with very little room to yourself. Cable TV channels were horrible quality and did not work while it was raining. The host was a bit weird when I first checked in but seemed to get more friendly with each contact. Location is convenient to access the attractions but I think most people would be happier finding another place. This place is adequate if you are doing a simple overnight stay but if you are here to vacation, I believe you'd be better off elsewhere.

Had reservations, we thought, made over the phone with "Jerry", owner by marriage, but when we arrived, no record of our call, reservation, nothing more than a note in the computer that we had called. We had made reservations for 8 nights for a family function. Apparently, "Jerry" taped a note to the computer saying we were coming but failed to enter same in computer, left it for someone else to do. Needless to say, that didn't work out so well ...BUT, they did find two spots to "stick us" till our reserved spots opened up. Okay, we can deal with that, moved into our "reserved spots" and all was fine, they even comped a couple of nights due to Jerry's screw up. Then on Saturday, our day 7, at around 11:30am, Jerry's couch potato stepson, man bun and all, comes by and says we have to leave, our spaces are rented and we must vacate NOW!! After some, "direct" conversation, the dud (I mean dude, Chris) finally called Jerry, who is on his way to Destin for a vacation, and Jerry gets on the phone and tells me he's driving and can't talk and we have to move out. We did move, needless to say, we weren't in any "hurry" as it was very hot!! As for the campground itself... Dirty, 40-45% permanent residents who don't keep much picked up, (trailer trash might be a good term), who all have an attitude to match the "dud's"... UNLEVEL sites, nothing but ROCKS, not gravel, ROCKS, dusty, dirty, tall grass (weeds). OH, and the FERAL CATS... probably noted over 15-20 of them...all ages from kittens to Old Fat Cats, and SMELL... regular litter box aroma when the breeze isn't there. Also, advertised as "BIG RIG FRIENDLY"... thats a joke... I have a 45' Class A, low trees and branches will make me now require another buff and wax! Almost forgot to mention the POWER SURGES. Glad we have the Progressive Industries EMS-PT50X Surge Protector... everyday it saved our coach. I've been traveling for over 40 years, staying many different places... but none compares to HOCHATOWN RV GRAVEYARD!! We did venture out and found a very nice campground about a mile or two towards Broken Bow, called CREEKSIDE RV PARK... very CLEAN, actual LEVEL GRAVEL SPACES (not rocks), plenty of SHADE TREES, properly trimmed to accommodate BIG RIGS. The Hochatown area is very unique area and a lot of fun... just don't let HOCHATOWN RV park RUIN Your Trip!!!
