The crown jewel of Ohio's state parks. The trail through the gorge to Old Man's Cave felt like an enchanted gnome forest. Some of the signage could be better, but bring a printed offap and follow the trailblazers and you should be fine.

I loved going here. The trails are super fun and slight challenge to everyone. Sometimes there are ladders that you have to climb. Very wet in some places but the view the whole times is super nice. I recommend here for anyone who loves hiking and wants to have a good time.

Had an amazing day hiking with friends. Old man's cave and rock house was so worth the trip. The scenery was absolutely stunning. Nice and clean place. If you haven't been it's a must go.

A surreal experience visiting Hocking Hills State Park as a family. On our visit to Ohio we were delighted to discover this beautiful park. Words and photos can’t describe how magical this state park is. If you enjoy being in nature than this is a must see. The park is large and has extensive hiking trails, a visitor centre with washrooms, multiple parking lots and trailheads, waterfalls and staircases as well as caves. Highly recommended 🫶

Old Man's Cave is really cool, however, there are peak times when half of Michigan is there 😂 and it's not as fun when you can't go at your own pace and see what you want. There's a great trail outside the cave area if you're up for a hike. Ash cave is also popular, but I've never encountered as many people there. It also has some great trails around it.

What an amazing park! So many caves, waterfalls, and unique rock formations. And we were lucky this year because the water was really flowing due to an unusually wet summer. A tour guide said normally in July, no waterfalls are flowing. Definitely plan to see Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, and Rock House, although you can't go wrong with upper/lower Falls and Old Man's Cave.

So many great experiences in one place! The pictures don't do it justice. The park has core trails and outlying areas to hike. It is a lot to take in. Plan your trip well. We take our time, exploring, packing in lunches, and seeing all we can. In three days we were able to visit most of the park (65-70%) skipping the longer trails and driving to access the outlying hiking areas and landmarks. Two adults and two teens, experienced but not expert hikers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Slice of Heaven in Ohio! Hocking Hills in Logan, Ohio, absolutely blew me away! The trails are dreamy—lush, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. Every path felt like stepping into a real-life fairytale. You get a true sense of adventure, with rugged climbs that make you feel like you're scaling mountains (and trust me, your legs will thank you later—such a great workout!). The natural beauty here is next-level. Waterfalls, caves, towering cliffs, forest canopies—it's got it all. And the cherry on top? The people. Everyone we met was so warm and friendly—it felt like we were part of a little nature-loving community. If you're looking for peace, challenge, and pure scenic magic, Hocking Hills delivers in every way. I’ll definitely be back!
