20 miles off of I-40 on a very well-maintained two-lane highway through beautiful desert landscape. I felt like I was driving through a mini Grand canyon. The campsites are amazing, great size and all of them are level. Views are amazing and the diversity implant life is incredible. I'm not sure I'd want to come here in the summer but I went in October and the weather was perfect. If you want a quiet place to camp this would be it

Quiet great spot to camp. Camp sites include a picnic bench, a fire pit and a place for your te nt. The sites were clean well taken care of with stunning views. Be cautious driving in, not only do Desert Tortoise roam on the roads, we also encountered a cow.

Potable water, pit toilets, rv dump station with clean out, and dumpsters. Generator hours 7a-7p. Amazing Campsites and views of the area. The visitors center is in walking distance with 2 hikes a 1.4mi the hole in the wall rings hike is great with petrogliphs and a 6mi hike also.

Quiet location with relatively level campsites. It can fit a 40’ Class A with toad. The road within the campsite is gravel but fairly graded. There is one dip going into the campground that you want to go slow if you have a long wheelbase and don’t want to lose your mud-flaps. Each camp has a fire ring and picnic table and are very clean. There is an RV dump station with non-potable tank flush water. Scattered throughout the site are potable water spigots as well as at the dump station. None of the sites offer hookups. There are dozens of trails that vary in length and degree of difficulty but all the ones I took were rich with scenery. If you like solitude, scenery and simplicity, this is a gem at $12 a night or $6 if you have an interagency pass. Well worth the visit!

Beautiful campsite in the Mojave preserve, with plenty of little enclaves to enjoy some shade when the desert sun is feeling a bit too harsh. There's multiple pumps for potable water, but if you want to be extra careful, let it run a couple seconds before collecting to drink from it to make sure any chemicals from the pipes are rinsed out. Plenty of fun trails with great views to take in, the Rings Trail is especially fun, kids would enjoy it too, although it's probably the least friendly to dogs as there is a little bit of climbing involved (there's plenty of aids so it is the easiest sort of climbing available).

Love this place. So quiet. I was amazed how many stars were visible and Milky Way was awesome. It can be hot. We had a nice breeze during the night.

Definitely go on the Rings Loop trail clockwise. We had a good adventure encountering the passageways and rings at the end of the hike. Got a great camping spot with lots of choices on a weekend.

Great little campsite, lots of nicely laid out sites. Really beautiful... Until the wind came. Around midnight it became like a wind tunnel. Lots of campers ended up in their cars. Hopefully this was just a fluke day?
