2nd year as Seasonal. Everyone is so helpful and nice!!! One of the best decisions I've made is to have gotten my seasonal spot!!! From weekend getaways, to family time around the fire, to water battles with the fire truck, to getting breakfast at the office, to leisure rides around the grounds on the golf cart playing music. I love our spot!!! Thanks to all the people at HS that keep it going and for being all around great people!!!

Not my fav campground. Extremely crowded and packed in at the older sites. Many full time homes need to be repaired or torn down. Restrooms, laundry and game room were not clean. However, staff was absolutely amazing; kind, helpful & went out of their way w recommendations and other site issues. The newer section & pool are nice, less cramped and well laid out.

I would hesitate to recommend Holiday Shores. If you can look at the sites before you make a reservation and you only stayed during the week, it would be ok. The place turned into a parking lot that allows tents on the weekend. The sites are not defined. Our neighbors set up their tent a couple feet from our fire ring. (So, no more fires.) Another more permanent neighbor left their dog barking outside all night just a couple of feet from our tent. We called what was listed as a security number, we had to leave a message. That same neighbor's kids walked through our camp site to throw garbage away. We asked, nicely to walk around, within minutes and adult man walked from that camper weaved his way through our camp. We also had a more permanent camping women yell at our boys, witness came to our boys defense. The permanent camper guest seemed entitled and resented the other campers. I guess you can meet bad people anywhere. We reserved by phone in May for an August stay. We where disappointed with the site we had, being it was recommended by the person we reserved with by phone. It was not a nice spot. We where told the spot we wanted couldn't have a tent. There was a tent on the spot while we were there. Most of the staff that we did see where excellent. The prices were very reasonable in the store and marina. The public areas where clean and well maintained. The location is great and we enjoyed the beach.

Perfect place for kids! My kids/family ages 10,12,15 had so much fun! They did not complain 1 time! Let me repeat parents my teenager did not once complain they were bored! I would recommend reserving a golf cart ahead of time so you are guaranteed one. This place is very big with some steep hills so a golf cart would have been good. The bathrooms could be cleaner but it’s a campground. My complaints are that quiet time is not controlled people riding golf carts blasting music/yelling til 2-3am. The tent sites could be leveled out a little more. It’s a great place to stay your kids will have a great time. Also I’m not sure if they spray for mosquitoes but there were not bad at all!

This had to be one of our best vacations ever. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We took the waverunner tour since we had never been on a waverunner but wanted to experience it. Jaren was our tour guide and was absolutely great. We learned so much about the Dells that we wouldn't have known otherwise. Fishing was great. Cabin was great. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time at Holiday Shores. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night but we made the most of it. Jill went above and beyond to help us secure our last minute reservation. Even one of the seasonal, long term tenants was kind enough to give my family and I a ride to the pool on his golf cart after we took a wrong turn. We stayed in one of the motel units. I would describe it as more of a single unit cottage. It was cozy and very clean. It made for a great "camping trip" without all the setup. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the Dells but would like to mix a little camping into there trip. We'll definitely be going back.

Beware EV owners!!! We paid for an electric site and paid for an additional car at our site which was all fine and we were aware of before we arrived. On our third day there, I received a call telling me I was not allowed to plug in my Tesla to the electric outlet, or else I would be charged $20/day. I immediately unplugged, but I was completely baffled. I’d highly recommend the owners educate themselves on how much electricity an EV actually takes…. My car doesn’t even cost $20 a MONTH to charge at home, so why on earth would these people be charging $20 a DAY??? Absolutely ridiculous, especially considering we paid for an electric site. You shouldn’t be dictating what we are allowed to plug in when we have already paid for the electric site. Additionally, why wouldn’t they have told me this upon arrival when I had to fill out a form with my make and model of my car? They knew I had a Tesla when I checked in, so why wouldn’t they have told me about this absurd charge right then? Also, as a heads up to the owners, you’re likely going to lose customers considering this charge is so far overpriced. Instead, I went to the Mauston supercharger and paid $5 to fill up at the station, which lasted me all weekend and halfway home. Do your research before you blindly charge insane rates.

We've been coming each year since 2017 and we have never had less than a great time! We've stayed in both the old and new motel units as well as park models and have never had a problem. The campground is beautiful and wooded, particularly the older section, the amenities and activities are plenty, and the beach is nice (It's on the Wisconsin River, so don't expect a white sand, privately manicured Florida country club type affair. And yes the river water is supposed to be that color.) The store and ice cream shop are well appointed - pretty much anything you need at prices about what I would expect to pay for the convenience....if you want cheaper stuff, there is a Walmart in town. The staff have always been great and accommodating, including when I have had to tweak or change dates which it seems like I do each year. We have also been using the marina since 2014 and it's also been great every time - no complaints. The area you're allowed to travel on the rental boats is larger than another reviewer would like you to think - you can go all the way down to the dam in the Dells. The only reason for 4 stars in stead of 5 is that they now add on a percentage whenever using a credit card in to make your reservation, in the store, or in the marina. I have not experienced this anywhere else so it makes no sense to me. So bring some cash with you. I am originally local to the Dells and know of any number of similar places one could stay but we always come back to HS and will continue to because it's in a beautiful location, with lots of amenities, and we love it and our kids love it.
