I do so much traveling and I live about fifteen minutes from here. We love the idea of getting away from town but we don't... Why leave when we already know this is by far the best campground in every way. Kids are never bored. The grown ups are having way more fun than I ever see anywhere else. Laundry cafe pools even in winter and live music often!

We come here often with friends, and it is always a bit of culture shock. We are very used to staying in state parks with big sites, respectful fellow campers, and calm. If you are looking for a campground with a party atmosphere, don't mind golf carts with LED lights and blaring music throughout the day and night, and don't mind being 15 ft from your neighbor, this is the place for you. They also have a LOT of things for kids- pool, playground, activities, a bonus for sure for those with the 13 and under crowd. If you are hoping for a quiet, calm, get back to nature experience, and you have no kids, or kids who are good with making their own fun, this is not the place for you.

This is a FAMILY CAMPGROUND for sure. IT IS BIG, so there can be a lot of people... The sites are reasonably spaced and there are lots of mature trees to help separate and give shade. The park spent a lot of time and money doing Halloween decorations, which seemed to be everywhere you turned. If you like the family aspect, you'll be thrilled with the park. There are RV, tent sites and a bunch of cabins as well. Ai least one good sized pool, a cafe, a camp store, and at least one playground. Being as big as it was, it was reasonably quiet, with the occasional sound of kids laughter. It was very pleasant. Checking in and out was easy. The site map they give you when you enter is a necessity... Electric was good, water pressure WAS REALLY HIGH, so don't forget your water pressure regulator! It was both available AND quite affordable, at 41/night, less ASA discount. Close by is shopping and gas stations. We very much enjoyed our stay! 👍👍👍

2 years later, there's still not a sign for the Sweet Gum road. Saw so many lost campers. The playgrounds are falling apart, Rusted holes on steps, definitely not safe. The water is brown. Expired food in the store especially can goods. Over a year old, when when I pointed it out, employee left the food on the shelf. Some of the bathrooms were not clean the entire time we were there. None of the Campground lights were on during our stay at night. There were a few rude employees checking us in. We enjoyed the private parking lot at Virginia Beach. Good site prices..

Great place. Clean bathrooms/showers. Staff are so nice. The only issue (which did not bother us) was there is a scrap yard next to one side of the campsite. 7am the were using heavy equipment moving metal. It was off season so camp was very quiet. We will go back.

Gravel sites have not seen any gravel in a long time. Picnic tables should be removed as they are falling apart. Bathrooms in our area (back area) have not been cleaned in the last 2 days. Do not stay on a weekend as golf carts have been racing all day with music sky high Good Friday. And it is 9:45 pm and not only are the carts and trucks still racing, music is blaring from many sites. Dogs bark all day and something they don't mention, military jets fly over loudly during the day and evening. Sadly quiet time is not till 11 pm. Too bad we had a really busy day and would like to sleep sooner. I would take the jets over this racket. We will never ever return. Parking lot is better than this place

Nice camp ground! Only reason I went with 4 stars was that the jet noise takes away from the quiet peaceful camp ground. This park is located in a great area close to the beach and ocean breeze water park and go cart track. The camp ground has a delivery system for supplies and things. Plenty of space and even had cable hookup for those with TVs in the rv. Great experience definitely recommending it to friends!

Been here over 2 months. Love it!! Friendly office. Maintenance extremely helpful. Very quick to tend to any needs. Clean restrooms. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Reasonably priced. Great location. I could go on and on.

This is a huge park with a ton of activities. We stayed in a super site in a 5th wheel just prior to the kick off of camping season. When this park is in full operation you would not to leave it for anything. It seems to have is own ecosystem. They have two stores, large laundry facility, game room, 4 swimming pools, 3 playgrounds, horse shoe pits, a huge dog park and a smaller one, I believe they have 7 bath houses (I may have missed one), and several dump stations. I am sure that i have missed a few amenities but they also have propane on site (reasonably priced) and rent golf carts. The hook ups were great with a marine pedestal, two spigots, and the sewer connection was low and the standard threaded sewer adapter was all that was needed. They were all conveniently located. The water was clean (we sanitize regularly and have a huge filtration system) and the pressure was sufficient. Our site had to be 75' long if it was an inch. Our 40' 5th wheel, crew cab pickup, and daughters car all fit on the pull through with plenty of room to walk around and between them. The check in was really simple. We had paid in full so we could have printed out our vehicle pass and checked in online from the email and just drove into our site without stopping. It was peaceful and relaxing but it is a busy place in season, with lots of kids, golf carts buzzing around, and music. If your looking for a quiet secluded campground, this is probably not the place for you, except maybe in the office season, but if you're looking for a destination, where your kids can be entertained for days, weeks, or months, and you can party and enjoy the concerts and events then book quickly because I hear they full up fast. I hope we can get in again.
