Cabins were cool definitely need a little TLC on the foundation blocks. But gave this old cool feel. I liked the campground but it was lacking something. Checking in. Definitely need to improve on signs for checking in. Park here and check in instead of a rig blocking the gate. It’s cool staff opened the gate to get everyone in faster. Oh side note definitely need to do a little bit on ash removal in the cabin fire pits. Ash to the top fire, fall, leaves wood cabin so we had to make sure nothing bad happened there. Staff ok friendly and nice but not too rude but kinda of clueless. And last thing. For being the close to an ORV park but can’t accommodate a trailer kinda a bummer. But hey I’m over it. But yeah would I recommend this place yeah, but would I be and my family be back NO! But everyone can form there own opinions.

When I pulled up, I was greeted by the friendliest face at the front desk—seriously, that guy knew his stuff and was a huge help getting us settled. We were lucky enough to snag one of the cabins, and wow, it was spotless, super roomy, and the grounds were just beautiful. The kids? They basically lived at the playground. But the absolute highlight was the laser tag. I mean, they take you out in a real army truck! It was unreal. They’ve really thought of everything here, Eric. Of course, I forgot a toothbrush, but the store on-site had me covered. And doing laundry? Easy peasy with their clean, working machines. Plus, those private showers and bathhouses were spotless. Even our furry buddy loved the pet park. But honestly, the best part was the pool—so clean and the perfect way to wind down after a day of running around. This place isn't just a campground; it's an adventure. Seriously, you've gotta check it out!

Holly Campground wasn’t a terrible stay, but not one I would do again. Please keep in mind it is close to a main road, so it is quite noisy. We stayed in one of the AC/Bathroom cabins which were decent in size and cleanly. I was a bit disappointed as our cabin all the way in the corner had a good bit of dirt all over the lawn from what might have been maintenance, and the grass needed to be mowed. There was rough terrain as well meaning we had to be extra careful where we walked. The bathroom was nice but the hot water lasts about 2 minutes before it is extremely cold. Other than that we enjoyed the seclusion.

I stayed in a lodge cabin and it was okay. I liked that it had a bathroom but you got 5 minutes for hot water. The grass was a little long. The fridge froze all my food. The location was perfect for ren fest. I would return but with my camper to try that experience. The staff was nice and I really enjoyed nights by the fire. I was surprised at the amount of people that hang out later than 10, they are my kind of people! Some campgrounds are so quiet and have too many Karens lol.

This campground was just the ticket for an overnight after a Pine Knob concert. Although the camp roads are in need of some repair, they more than made up for that in service. Such friendly accommodating workers! Cat helped us out with a late check-in and was so gracious - had a night packet with everything we needed waiting for us after hours. We found the restrooms and showers modern and clean. We were a little worried after some on-line reviews said otherwise, but even though a little dated, this is an efficient, clean, friendly place. Would return.
