Holmes bend the campground is nice and fairly quiet. The 2 hosts, Staci and Jeff they are the ones their camp site is directly across from toll booth they are wonderful and made our camping trip even better. They go above and beyond for fellow campers. I don't know what they get paid. Whatever it is, they surely need a $ raise great folks as these 2 will create repeat customers. we will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend this campground.

Love this campground. Book online. Corp owns and operates it. Lots of mature shade, some sites are sunny and some shaded, some gravel sites and some concrete pads. A few have views of Green River. Water, electric and sewer. Cheap pricing. Green River Lake is nearby for fishing and boating. Nice paved roads to walk, bike ride, etc, clean, well lit showers and restrooms. Pet friendly. Quiet. Stayed a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed at Holmes Bend as a tent campsite for our distillery tour at Makers Mark. This was about an hour away from MM and worked great for us. We didnโt encounter the camp host and also didnโt have any troubles. The campground was busy but not overly crowded. Our site was nice for our tent and the tables moves so we could adjust the space as needed. This site was quite wooded, the way we wanted it and as it was listed on the reservation site. Lots of kids on bikes and almost 95% RV. The beach was ok. It was the near the marina and had a bit if a fishy smell, though this was late July. We took a dip since it was so hot. The Marina does have ice and wood for sale. The loops are not well lit at night so be sure to bring flashlights. The bathrooms were centrally located but you have to cut through a campsite to get to it. The bathhouse was easier to enter and larger. Both could have been better cleaned. But they did post a sign saying they were not cleaned per cdc requirements. Use at your own risk. Our neighbors next door were friendly and went out of their way to provide some Kentucky hospitality.

Most unfriendly camp host I have ever encountered. He is on a power trip riding around his golf cart. I felt molested by this guy!

It is a family friendly corp of engineers campground located less than a mile from green river lake. The campground is a good size and well spaced out campground. It is a clean, quiet campground that seems to be well taken care of. Alot of wildlife is in the area and there is a boat ramp, marina, and a swimming beach less than a mile away. It is a perfect place to camp if you like to be on the water.
