Caprock Canyon state park is a wonderful park. Hiking is incredible and to see the free roaming Bison was awesome. Prairie Dog Town is an also great. This has to be one of the top State Parks in Texas.

Amazing park and campground! Got to see Bison, deer, ground hogs. All around very nice park in Texas! If they had offered full hookup sites, larger park for the kids, it would be a 5-star hands down!

We used a walk-up site after deciding we couldn't make it all the way to Amarillo last night. Beautiful camping here, level concrete pads for RVs with water and power. Indoor plumbing bathroom with heaters and showers too!!! Amazing sunrise views. So glad the wind blew us here!

Camping area was perfect and the sights are beautiful.

Great place, great people! Kids loved it specially the bisons and prairie dogs. Beware of coyotes at night trying to open your coolers 😅

Nice little campground with level sites. Interesting when the bison come trepsing through. Excellent early morning photo opportunities especially after a rain with ground fog. Tons of hiking trails here. We're full time RVr's focused on hiking. Blog link in my bio.

Great park, but needs some work. Its a hoot to see the Bison come through your campsite. The prairie dogs by the bathroom are cute. Scenery is amazing. That's the good stuff. The bad? Bathrooms are rough. The amenities need some work. Like a lot of state part, this one could us some TLC. Come visit and put some $'s in the kitty so this place can get up to snuff.
