Love this campground and the staff. Even though they no longer have free wi-fi, this will not stop us from going. I only need it when I camp and work at the same time, so I'll find a different internet provider so I can come back here time and time again. See you soon!

Our family stayed at Honeycomb Campground for a week, and unfortunately, it did not meet expectations despite its beautiful location on Lake Guntersville. The lake views are scenic, but that’s about the only highlight. Restrooms & Showers: The restroom facilities were among the dirtiest we’ve experienced at any campground. Toilets had stains that remained untouched all week, and sinks often had bugs and hair left behind. The showers were equally poor—our family shower had only cold water, while the men’s shower ran only hot water with no temperature adjustment. On top of that, the showers use push-button controls that provide about 20 seconds of water at a time, making it feel more like a military-style rinse than a normal shower. To make matters worse, the motion-sensor lights in the restrooms turn off quickly, leaving guests in the dark mid-use. Cleanliness & Maintenance: The campground overall felt rundown and neglected. Common areas such as the laundry room were dirty, with poorly maintained machines and floors. Everything about the facilities seemed in need of a serious facelift and better upkeep. Safety & Atmosphere: We did not feel particularly safe during our stay. Some of the campground guests seemed to be long-term or transient visitors, and one incident involving a group of young men loitering and blaring music made our family uncomfortable. Bottom Line: Honeycomb Campground has potential due to its natural setting, but the lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and safety concerns overshadow any positives. At this time, I would not recommend it for families unless there are absolutely no other options.

Wow where do I start!!!! Honeycomb campground has always been my favorite campground in Alabama!!! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great weekend and experience... I love that they have a little playground now for the kiddos.. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean... As well as the shower room .. This weekend they had free popcorn and movie on Friday night.. Saturday they had all kinds of fun stuff for the kiddos and adults. They had candy bar bingo which was so much fun because I won 3 candy bars... A kids carnival, And so much more.. The campground is kept so clean... I'm hoping to go back in 2 weeks fingers crossed I can get a site... They also have RV rentals, and cabins!!!! So if you're looking for the best campground You got to try out honeycomb campground!!!!!

First the good...almost all the sites have a water view even if not waterfront and it's really beautiful! The sites are gravel and fairly level. There is a fire ring with a flip over grill grate. The staff was extremely friendly and check in was quick and easy. They had firewood for sell and the general store had most anything you've forgotten. There are boat slips if you bring a boat. The only negative as a tent camper is the bathrooms were not clean and reeked of urine. I propped the main door open to air it out which did help. Showers and shower curtains were moldy. Over all the showers, floors and toilets were gross. (I'm specifically referring to the 2nd bathhouse) There was no hand soap or even a dispenser to refill at the sink. I think if the bathroom were DEEP cleaned and maintained better this would be an amazing park. Luckily for RVers they have their own bathrooms! Being Labor Day Weekend the park was full but not unruly or loud. We had a wonderful time.

We had a really good experience renting a Lowe SS 210 pontoon boat here until it came time to return it and deal with the gas. When we pulled up at the dock at our scheduled return time, a young worker was already filling boats with gas cans (not a pump). He started filling ours, but ran out of gas midway. That immediately raised concerns, since there’s no way to know how much was in the can before he started. My husband went into the store and was told the worker would have to go buy more gas, and it would be 30+ minutes before he came back. This was frustrating because they knew our boat was due back at 6 PM, yet chose to use up gas on other boats first instead of being prepared for us. We were told we’d be sent a receipt for the fuel, but we never got one—just a $100 charge. At $5 a gallon and a 24-gallon tank, the numbers don’t add up, especially since the gauge showed between half and a quarter tank left when we returned it. Based on the math, I don’t believe we actually used the amount of gas they charged us for, likely an extra $20–$30. The day on the water itself was great, but the lack of transparency with the gas, no receipt, and questionable accuracy in what we were charged left a sour note at the end. It’s never a good feeling to feel like you have been ripped off. If you rent here, just be aware of how they handle fueling and charges.

Honeycomb is a beautiful campground that is well maintained. We enjoyed kayaking on Lake Guntersville right from our lakefront site. While sitting on our site, we enjoyed watching birds, turtles and a beaver. We biked the sunset trail in Guntersville and visited Cathedral Caverns and High Falls - all of which are within a reasonable drive. The WiFi signal was excellent, but throughput was so limited it was useless - even though the campground was practically empty. All-in-all we had an excellent stay and plan to return.

We loved our 3 week stay at Honeycomb campground. It's right on the water, which we love. It was a little to cold to swim but they have a nice beach area. The bathrooms and shower rooms were very clean. The staff/hosts are very friendly and they keep the park clean. We will keep this place on our list to come back too.

Easy booking online. Was escorted to my spot and also with my backing in making me feel much more comfortable. It wouldn’t matter what spot you are in, there are fantastic views every place. No cluttered spots, plenty of space between spots. A water main broke, but the grounds crew took on the problem and within about 4 hours things all good. The staff is the best around and I travel everywhere! Easy access to anything your heart desires.

My wife and I took our two kids (Ages 4 and 2) for a two night stay in one of Honeycomb’s camper rentals. I communicated through email with the management ahead of booking a camper to ask questions about room for a pack n play, etc. They were a big help in recommending a bigger camper to rent than what we had originally looked at renting. We had plenty of space. This was our first time camping in as a family, and it was nice having the option to rent one. The camper was clean and came with basic cups, plates, etc. We primarily used the items we brought with us. They had toilet paper and paper towels as well. The bathhouses were clean. I believe there were four total throughout the property. The kids enjoyed the playground and beach area. The views are beautiful! The staff were all friendly and helpful. They send detailed instructions ahead of your stay in an email and that is helpful. We will definitely be going back!

My husband and I stayed in cabin 3 in January, and we had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean and cozy for the two of us. The view of the lake was gorgeous, and we had a very peaceful stay. The staff were helpful and kind as well. Be sure to ask about the hiking trail, if interested; we will be checking that out at our next stay.

This is my opinion and should be taken as such. This place was pretty awesome. The sites that are right on the water were great. We had 36 facing the water. It was a nice sunrise in the morning. I would recommend bringing wood. It seems alot of campgrounds lately sell unseasoned wood. But it still gets 12 thumbs up👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We stayed at site 36 right on the lake. It was beautiful. Easy to back into and pretty level. Our site was clean and large. Staff were super friendly at check-in and at the store. We really had a nice time and were sad to leave. Our only issue was camper etiquette, which is not the campgrounds fault. Cabin across from us used our site with their children to walk through and launch their kayaks and they had a dog that barked non stop. That issue is on them and we do not fault the campground for it. We would definitely come back here and stay again.

We set up a tent and camped for 4 days and 3 nights and it was great. Nice camping spot and we rented a canoe and had a great time at the beach as well. We previously rented a cabin and they were wonderful as well. Nice place to just get away.

My husband, step-daughter and I visited this campground for the first time this past weekend. Everyone was so friendly and informative. We rented a camper and an employee showed us where our site was and made sure everything worked and was set up and showed us how to use everything. It was very peaceful and beautiful and kept so very clean. The check out process was super easy also. It’s very kid friendly/family friendly. Love that you can rent campers, boats, cabins and have a general store for things you may have forgotten. It’s Located in a beautiful spot on the lake. We will definitely be back and cannot wait to make another trip.

My daughter and I spent the weekend at Honeycomb Campground and were so impressed with how wonderful the campground is maintained! The campground is so clean and full of life. The staff inside the store were so lovely, knowledgeable, and accommodating. As a single mother to a teenage daughter, I felt safe, comfortable, and cared for the entire weekend. It was such a family-oriented atmosphere! We will be back!
