Was a Great experience! Took a hay ride to a haunted house with the kids and it was super fun and organized. Furthermore they had trick or treating and other fun activities for the kids and adults as well!

We were in Debuque for several days on vacation, stayed here, clean campground, location is good, had a lot of rain and no flooding, good drainage! Im giving them a 4 only because we were put in a campsite that we made work, but a rig our size it really wasn't made for (43ft), has a big drainage ditch as you walk out door, we are good at maneuvering, so we did make it work but it really wasn't made for our size rig, the only other thing that we didnt like was the office is never open, unless you call them to open it! I wish them good luck, it is a nice place!

Hoot Owl Hollow is now Creek Valley Campground, my wife and I are the new owners! We took over on 3/1/2025. Since taking ownership we have fixed drainage issues, remodeled the office, bathrooms, showers, new asphalt, retaining walls, built a community firepit with a retaining wall and stamped concrete patio, decorative fence, and we are on site and managing daily while providing the best costumer service, keeping facilities and property clean!

Small campground with creek around one side. Bathrooms and showers are clean with plenty of hot water. Some late night noise from a neighbor mowing their lawn; what are ya gonna do? If it’s too late (not just after 10) the camp hosts do try to shut the noise down. Nice, well maintained swimming pool. Small playground. No internet. Cash only. And I heard a hoot owl! Near amenties in Dubuque.

We stayed here about 3 months, very nice campground, quiet, nice pool and playground for kids. Great price on fire wood, bathrooms and shower house. Will stay here again when in the area, thank you Kelly and Adam.

Very cute campground! Shower facility as well as bathrooms are very well kept. Kelli was very accommodating and super nice! Omg the dog next door is annoying though!

Nice, clean, and quiet campground. Well kept lawn and landscape. Our picnic table was in bad shape but looks like thay are in the process replacing the bad ones. Seems that most of the people here are workers on a temporary job stay, but that wasn't a problem because it was very quiet at night. My only complaint was the sewer hookups are high above the ground and at the very back of the sites. All in all, this is a very nice campground and i would recommend it for a short or long stay.

My family camped at Hoot Owl as a plan b since our usual Dubuque campground was full. After staying at Hoot Owl, I think we have found our new Dubuque spot! Nice spots, not too close together, a lot of shaded options. The pool was a big hit, can be rented for different functions as well as their pavilion. Nice bathrooms and hot showers. Very close to Dodge st in Dubuque so you aren't far from town, but it doesn't feel like it when you're there. You can hear the racetrack pretty well, but it didn't bother us. We ended up paying for an extra night because we weren't ready to go home! Family friendly as well. Having camped on weekends for 15+ years now, private campgrounds are the way to go. Lots of options for full hookup and water/electric, they are pricier than your state/County parks but the amenities are worth it. Can't wait for our next trip here !

We had a wonderful weekend camping at Hoot Owl Hollow campground. We highly recommend camping there. It was nicely spaced out, had a nice pool, a nice walking trail and creek, and wonderful staff. They were very friendly and helpful. Their bathrooms and shower house were very clean and private. They also played movies on a projector in the evening. We will definitely be going there again!

We have a 42’ Solitude and are staying long term for the second year. We are traveling contractors. This park is perfect! Small, clean and quiet. Our cats love to critter watch. The spots are gravel, but have lots of grass. The park host is very nice and accommodating.
