Me and my family have been coming to hope lake for a lot of years and this year we did a 10day camping trip, and have had a terrible experience. The lake gave me and my siblings, as well as other campers, swimmers itch (which is not posted anywhere) so don’t swim in the water! Unless you can wash yourself off. The people who run the lake have been ignorant towards us because their friends complain about our generators running although we’re at a no power/water hookup site and we do run them within 7am-11pm. The people who run the campsite give their friends special treatment and make up excuses on what we can and can’t do but never tell other campers the same thing, only us because their friends complain. 10/10 not coming back to this campsite nor recommend it

We stayed in the group site the weekend before Canada Day. The outhouses were clean and well stocked, there's a really nice beach, a lake with clean water for swimming and plenty of fish, and the people running it are fantastic.

Very clean! There are plenty of treed-in sites for your privacy, a few sites are in the open so make sure to check beforehand. There are also several seasonal lots available at a decent price! Beach was cleaned every morning. The outhouses are cleaned daily and they don’t smell. There is a store with pretty much everything you need! The water is clean for swimming and the fishing is amazing, you can catch perch and pike right off the dock! The owners are really nice and helpful. Overall a great family campground.

Love this campground! The management there are so nice and helpful. Carmen was just lovely. We love the sandy beach. Most of the sites are large and well treed, private. Give them a call if you are unsure when booking because a handful of sites are out in the open. Outhouses are very clean. No potable water or power so bring your generator if you need to! We also absolutely loved that they set up a slip and slide from the top of the hill into the lake! The guy that sat there with the hose each day, all day was a hero! So much fun for the kids and maybe some adults too!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this campsite. I wasn't taking too much risk with it only being an hour and a half from the City, and to my utmost delight it was worth the drive! Some of the spots seem open, with little privacy. But that is not too bad as the people wandering through the roads ended up being extremely friendly! If you have an ATV this place will definitely accommodate your needs, as there are ample trails around to explore. The beach front area is great, and they do have a strict policy on dogs, which would prohibit them from entering the beach. This is manageable and results in some Poop free sand! The outhouses are very clean, and it is surrounded by ample places to sanitize your hands. There is working wells that would facilitate water to boil, and even a general store at the front! Ultimately, I am more akin to the likes of crown land camping, but the added amenities with the lower cost of the stay was worth it to spend time with friends!

The couple that runs this campground is absolutely amazing. It is safe to say we will be back. They went above and beyond for us a few times during our stay and we are so thankful for that. I would give a 10 star review if I could. The campground itself is clean, quiet, and very relaxing. The beach is beautiful and the lake is clean with a nice hard sandy bottom. Highly recommend this campground!
