Small, quiet, primitive, along Walker River.

The campground tenant was very nice and helpful. The grounds are clean and well maintained with great fishing access to the river. Parking sites are long enough for my 36' 5th wheel + the truck attached.

The proximity to the river is great. A lot of the campgrounds had decent shaded areas. Open fire pits are provided. Potable drinking water is available. The vaulted toilets were really well taken care of. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the traffic on the highway throughout the night. It would illuminate our tent while headlights were flashing through the trees like a strobe light, and it was loud. Occasionally trucks would drive on the rumble strip in the middle of the night. It's not really anything the campgrounds have any control over.

Located in Walker canyon, on the Walker river. Nice and clean Campground with friendly Campground host. We stayed 1 night in August 2021, pit toilets and water was available, no campfires, as it has been a bad fire year. One side of the camp had tall pine trees, the other side was more open and closer to 395. There are approximately 12 sites, can be busy in the summer as fishing is good on the this River. The cost is $20.00 half off with senior pass.

Very clean campground with well developed and shady sites right next to Walker river. Unfortunately, the highway is near feet from most sites and the noise takes away from the camping experience. The best sites are along the river where the water drowns out some of the highway. Good for layover on your way south, though with Bridgeport only 45 minutes away, you might push on and stay at the sites near Mono Village.
