Fishing Paradise California

Always been a favorite fishing spot along the west walker river since I was a child myself. Now I get to take my own family there and enjoy gods country. Early in the season the water is flowing fast. Late summer you can swim and sight fish for trout. The river fishing can be challenging but there are some good size trout in the deep holes.

Great place! No running water and the info board is out of date. There are no requirements for trout stamps to fish in the area.

This a great parking spot off the bottom of the Sonora Pass near the West Walker river. Ther are several picnic tables with the river a short walk away. Very picturesque!

We loved this campsite! One of the cleanest, best taken care of spots I have seen in a long time. There is no water.. but the sites are all level , nice fire pits w grills, clean bathrooms , and good shade . Jim the camp host was extremely kind and attentive. We will definitely be back.

It was closed when I arrived yesterday. The website did not show it was closed. Pretty place though.
