This is a quiet and small campground with easy access to the river for mobility impaired campers. The dock and boat ramp are perfect allowing access for those of us with walkers to swim, float on tubes and enjoy the sun and summer without crowds. I love it here.

Toilets were nasty and there is very little to do near the campground. Has no business costing $20 a day.

Really happy to find this campground! Very green and lush, quiet and not crowded (June 2021). Nice boat ramp and docks.

Just stopped to eat lunch here. Just before exploring the hills.

We are tent campers who like camping in dense forest, so this campground was not a good fit for us. We didn't stay - we just checked it out and moved on. This place has a mowed lawn and a giant birch tree, so it seems like camping in suburbia. It has a boat launch and an event space (big tables under a shelter). If you have an RV and want lawn for kids or dogs to play, this could be a good option.

Quiet during week, very nice camp host. Large sites. Plenty of room for multiple tents. 2019. Now for July/ August 2020. Loud, no camp host, in this time of covid, the vault toilets were not cleaned the whole week we were there, even though the Forest employees came by. Watched people come in, camp, not pay, leave trash etc. Very poor showing for St Marie's Forest Service office. No dock. Lots of generator noise day and night. I can no longer recommend.

Scenic campground right on the river. No hiking trails nearby though. There is a well maintained boat launch on site for boaters and anglers, as well as a day use picnic shelter. Campsites themselves are fairly spacious with large, flat, grassy areas for all kinds of lawn recreation. You must bring your own firewood if you want a campfire (they supply fire rings). Good place for people interested in getting out on the water or groups playing lawn games. Not as good for hikers. Just ok for solo campers.
