Indian Line Campground – Brampton I recently stayed at Indian Line Campground, and overall, it’s a great spot for anyone who wants to enjoy camping close to Brampton or Toronto without going too far from the city. 🏕️ Campsites & Layout There are plenty of sites for tents, trailers, and RVs — some with full hookups and others unserviced. A few are pull-through and easy to access. The sites are mostly open with grassy and gravel areas, and there’s lots of space to set up comfortably. If you plan to camp with both a trailer/RV and tents, it’s best to call ahead to confirm how many are allowed per site. 🚆 Noise & Location One thing to note is that a train track runs behind the campground, and trains do pass by regularly. It didn’t ruin our stay, but if you’re sensitive to noise, try to book a site closer to the front of the park where it’s much quieter. 🚿 Facilities & Amenities The campground is well equipped with washrooms, showers, coin laundry, and a small convenience store that sells firewood, ice, and basic camping supplies. The showers are set at one temperature — warm enough later in the day, but a bit chilly early in the morning! There’s also a playground for kids and a swimming pool during the warmer months, which makes it very family-friendly. 🌳 Scenery & Atmosphere There are beautiful walking trails around the area, plenty of green space, and a calm atmosphere. The weather was great during our stay, and it was such a nice way to close out the camping season. The campground itself is very clean and well maintained, with garbage and recycling bins placed throughout for easy use. It’s also conveniently located — there are small stores and restaurants within about a 10-minute walk. 🤝 People & Experience Everyone we met was friendly and respectful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I didn’t see many staff around, but the grounds were tidy and clearly looked after. 💡 Tips for Campers Choose a site near the front for less train noise. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Shower later in the day for warmer water. Great spot for families — kids will love the pool and playground. 📸 Final Thoughts Indian Line Campground is a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to camp near the city. It’s perfect for families, weekend getaways, or anyone who wants a simple and peaceful camping experience without going far. Overall, I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars — would definitely come back again!

The worst campsite experience I've ever had. We camped at the Indian Lines Campground from Saturday August 23rd and left Tuesday August 26th. While the site itself was spacious and open, nearly everything else was a disappointment. The bathrooms were consistently dirty, and staff were only available from 08:30 to 17:30—same hours as the pool. Because we were out during the day, we never got to use the pool once. The gates were never closed, meaning anyone could wander in and set up camp after hours without supervision. We had requested a site with no services, which was honored, and most of the other campers were friendly. However, our neighboring site on the second and third nights was occupied by an unhoused couple. Normally, I wouldn’t mind, but the woman screamed loudly from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM, disturbing the entire campground. One camper asked her to quiet down or she’d call the police, which only escalated the yelling. Eventually, five police cars arrived, and things calmed down—until morning, when she started yelling again because her partner had slept through his alarm. My husband and I were furious. There were no staff around to manage the situation, and according to long-term campers, this couple had been there for a while and this behavior was typical. Why the campsite hasn’t addressed this ongoing issue is beyond me. We wanted to file a complaint, but the office was closed both before we left for our prepaid activities and after we returned. On the second night, she was slightly quieter but still woke us up around 1:00 AM. This level of disruption is completely unacceptable. People camp to relax and unwind. If the facilities can’t manage their site or ensure a peaceful environment, then what’s the point? I hope management takes this seriously and implements changes to protect future guests.

Really nice campground! We spent about $40 for the night, which is pretty reasonable. There’s a huge lake super close to the site, so it’s perfect for swimming, fishing, or just hanging out by the water. The area feels safe and peaceful, and everyone we met there was super friendly. The site itself was clean and easy to set up at, with plenty of space to relax. Honestly, such a good spot if you want a chill getaway without spending too much. Definitely recommend!

It's a well-kept campground near the city. I stayed there for two nights with my trailer for the first time. There were no sewer hookups at any site, but the main bathroom and shower facilities were okay. There was a outdoor pool and a small playground for younger children.

Pulled into this park on a Thursday afternoon and smoothly checked in. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. The dump station is very clean and the access is the best I have used so far, making dumping less unpleasant. After a quick overview of the site we set up our site and settled in. My first impression was that it is very open with trees and shrubs throughout that create shade for the sites. Our site had very unlevel ground due to the fire pit being moved to many different locations causing some careful negotiations to strategically place our outdoor chairs and table. Our site was at the very front of the park which is where Finch avenue runs and the train tracks that run frequently. So if you don't mind really loud city traffic sounds then these sites are for you. Overall I have to say that we like this campground but need to reconsider where in the park to choose our site so that we didn't have such loud traffic next to us.
