This is a nice park, older & a little tight for big rugs but still no problem for our 40' motorhome with jeep tow! The staff is very nice and a large peaxedul field for walking! You can hear faint traffic from the highway but not enough to disrupt! Will stay again!!!

I called site 3 home from July 1-April 30, 2024, and I absolutely loved it! Shiela and her family are so very kind and wonderful!! She is like the mama bear of the campground and makes sure everyone (especially solo females and college students) are safe and taken care of. Shiela and her husband dedicate tons of work, time, and money into improving the campground and making it feel like home as well as keeping it in nice and clean condition. There are 2 bathrooms with a toilet and sink in each and 2 showers as well. None of them have air conditioning or heat but Shiela keeps fans on in the summer and electric heaters on in the winter in the 2 bathrooms. Once during my stay (in freezing temps) someone left one of the bathroom doors open all night and all of the water in the toilet bowl was frozen solid. Shiela was always quick to address any and all issues! Site 3 is really nice and close to the bathrooms as well as private since it backs up against the owner’s fence. There’s a good bit of noise pollution from hwy 82 though. They have a lot of rules to make sure your site looks orderly and not like someone lives there. The site has a nice ergonomically friendly water handle as well as all the electrical hook ups you might need. There is no sewage hookup at site 3, but I don’t have plumbing, so that was perfect for me. The pond area is very nice and relaxing, and there are some really cute duck residents that I enjoyed watching. I didn’t use the laundry room much, but Shiela and her husband were working on getting new machines installed and repairing some from residents washing large comforters and breaking the machines. A washer ate my quarters during that time, but she reimbursed me for them. I truly loved my time at IMCR and miss it and Shiela and her family! I highly recommend this campground!!

We had a fantastic stay at Indian Mound Campground in Starkville! It’s off the beaten path, but only 4 miles from MSU campus. I actually read through some of the reviews and I’m not sure why a handful of them were critical about the size of the spaces. Our pod and Jeep Wrangler fit just fine in campsite #15. Gravel spaces with lots of trees. It looks like every space has good shade. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The campsites offered all the necessities you would expect like water, sewer, and 30, 40, 50 amps. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful natural surroundings. We took advantage of the swings next to the little pond. They allow fishing for catch and release too. We didn’t encounter a lot of people, but the ones we did were very friendly. Besides our puppy, we didn’t see any other dogs in the park, even leashed. It was very quiet and peaceful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our experience even better. It's clear they take pride in their campground. We'll definitely be returning if we’re return to Starkville!

Fun place to stay! We was only there one night. However we enjoyed it. Shelia is super nice and easy to work with. Loved the Halloween decor all over the camp ground. Definitely would stay again if we find ourselves in the area again.

Ms. Sheila and Mr. Chris are amazing people. They have helped my girlfriend get into her camper when she’s been locked out and have given us great advice on how to keep up with our camper. We were experiencing issues with our camper the other day and they lended us a tool to fix it and gave us advice on how to keep it from happening again. As a whole anyone looking for a weekend get away, somewhere to stay while on a job, or college students who are looking for an affordable place to stay in camper this is the place to be. Oh and the neighbors are friendly and the environment is great!!

This place is beautiful. Lots of green, shady lots, and friendly people. There is a dog park and a duck pond, and they are constantly working to improve the place. It is very well manicured, and there is on-site laundry and showers. There is even a storm shelter to go in case of bad weather. It is one of the greenest and well kept RV parks I've been to, and with the work the owners are putting in, it will be even better before long. It's nice to walk around in and the shade helps it not be too hot. It's just really pretty and it's a good place for families to camp. 10/10 would recommend, we plan on being there a while.

I have stayed here periodically throughout the past year and it is just wonderful. The new park hosts have done wonders with this space and are super friendly. Lot price is relative to other places. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone in the area. :)

Our daughter moved in to Indian Mound Campground in August of 2020 and we just moved her out for the summer. She did come home over Thanksgiving/Christmas break and we towed the camper home because we used it over Thanksgiving and then brought it back in January. When she first moved in, while being what we felt like was the best option for our child, it wasn’t exactly the nicest. Some of the trees were over grown on the lots and it looked a little run down. About midway through the first semester, I can’t tell you exactly when, a new couple came on the scene and started taking care of the campground and take care of it they did. They cut trees, bushes, grass and worked on the pond. They really, really put a lot of work and sweat into the park and we could tell a huge difference when we went to pick her up for Thanksgiving and an even bigger difference when we took the camper back in January and more so when we went for graduation this past week. They really and truly take pride in what the campground looks like and are working hard to keep it kept up and looking nice. They also care about those who stay there at the campground and take an interest in those who are there long term. It gave me peace of mind knowing my child had someone she could call on if she needed something g or was having any issues. I highly recommend this campground for any student who may be attending MSU and has access to a camper. The rent is much cheaper than an apartment and they don’t have to be concerned about roommates. All utilities are included and it’s only a short distance to campus. Our daughter will be returning I got in the fall for grad school!

I'm not sure if it was a real Indian mound or a pile of dirt I would like to dig in it

3 for Me. 3mos I'll have lived here a year. I've never once had any complaint at all. Everyone I have met have been friendly. And helpful. I've never witnessed a disturbance. And I wanna save the best for last. And that's the manager Cindy. She's amazing to be around. Always happy and friendly. She's definitely a joy to have here. So yes I most certainly would recommend this RV park for a weekend getaway, or a semester of studying. AND ESPECIALLY FOR BULLDOG WEEKEND. We have a nice clean community here. And the birds are always singing.
