Indian Point RV Park

Overview

Indian Point RV Park offers a serene and welcoming environment for travelers visiting the beautiful Lake Barkley area of Kentucky. Known for its quiet atmosphere and scenic surroundings, this park provides a reliable base for those looking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region. Whether you are planning a long-term seasonal stay or a brief weekend getaway, the park focuses on providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle of more commercialized tourist hubs.

Location & Surroundings

Conveniently located in Eddyville, KY, the park sits in a prime position for water enthusiasts and nature lovers. The surrounding landscape is characterized by the rolling hills and dense woodlands typical of western Kentucky. Being situated near the shores of Lake Barkley, the park benefits from a refreshing lakeside breeze and easy access to one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States, providing a lush backdrop for every campsite.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed to cater to the essential needs of modern RVers while maintaining a rustic charm. Guests have access to spacious sites featuring full hookups, including water, sewer, and both 30 and 50-amp electrical service. On-site facilities include clean bathhouses and laundry centers to ensure comfort during extended stays. The grounds are pet-friendly and well-maintained, offering gravel pads and plenty of shade trees to help keep rigs cool during the warm Kentucky summers.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The primary draw for visitors is the proximity to the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, where guests can enjoy miles of hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing. Boating and world-class fishing for bass and crappie are just minutes away at the local marinas. For families, the nearby Venture River Water Park provides a full day of slides and wave pools, while the historic streets of Eddyville offer charming local dining and shopping opportunities.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an ideal match for anglers and boaters who want a functional, no-nonsense home base close to the water. the people here are nosy if you arent a "regular". they would drive by on their golf carts every hour of the day and stare in our windows to the point we had to keep them closed. they stare when you walk your dog. they stare if you're sitting out front or driving by or just walking around. everybody is on top of each other--RVs are squished in between giant decks and they are all packed to the freaking gills with *stuff*. some have very clearly been there for 10-plus years. people leave their golf carts in the middle of the freaking road. somebody parked a boat trailer right in the middle of the parking lot and it stayed there for *days*. the office closes really early. insanely early. never found the laundry room because there was never anyone to ask. yeah idk. feels like we way overpaid.

Do yourself a favor and do not park your camper/RV here. The previous reviews are obviously from previous years. The people running the camp ground could care less about you. No pool with no sight in it being up again. Endless promises and they will turn the water off with no warning and expect you to still pay an outrageous amount. Just do yourself a favor and do not waste your money here
