We had a great weekend at the beer festival, and at the park. We enjoyed the campground, but the older woman working in the office needs additional professional development in customer service. She was quite rude to our friend who stopped in for 20 minutes and she is just looking for reasons to unhinge on others. She was also pretty hateful a couple years ago. I understand that maybe she deals with a lot of nonsense, but positivity and a kind spirit in this particular employee would really make this experience great.

*update* we are now happy seasonals!!!! Me and my family come here every weekend to visit friends that are seasonals. Great place to come if you want to get away. They even have what they call the back 40 which is just pretty much off the grid camping. Plenty of events go on every weekend. Splash pad for the kids in the campground and then there's an amusement park across the street. Can be pricey around the holidays but other than that not so bad

I do not usually like to post anything negative but the lady who was working security on Labor Day morning was very rude! When you camp at Indiana beach, only 1 car is allowed to park at the campsite and any other cars have to park elsewhere or pay to park at the site. That’s fine, so I parked 3 nights by the arcade so I could save money ($75 for 3 nights of parking is ridiculously high tbh) Anyways, they let me in to unload my vehicle on the first night and then I returned to my car to the free parking. We camped until Labor Day, and that morning I asked to bring my car back in to load it to leave! I wasn’t rude and asked very nicely but that lady was VERY rude and said that my boyfriend will have to bring it all out to my car. So basically load his car up, bring it to mine, load mine then go back and load his up! I understand that she might not have the authority to let me in like the office workers do, but the way she talked to me was very unprofessional and very rude! She could have handled that better and explained that the office opens at 9 and to come back and ask then. Instead she said, “Well, I’m not them” VERY rudely! If I was rude to her, I’d understand but I wasn’t. I just asked a simple question and a simple, “come back at 9 and ask!” would have been fine! I have been coming here since I was a kid and this is the first time a worker here was mean. Everyone has always been very nice and helpful. This experience was unnecessary and very upsetting! I do not like being talked to like I’m a child.

Tried charging us 50$ to unload a vehicle Labor Day weekend, 1st vehicle is free (wow thank you for letting us park on our site we paid for) then 25$ a day for the second vehicle on your site, so when my gf got there to unload they were denied entry or pay for 2 days? We had to park across from the campground and shove everything into 1 car, then come back in. No excuse, plenty of room for 2 vehicles per site, why the crap I gotta pay another 75$ for a second vehicle? The line is ridiculous to get your parking pass in the first place, now I know why the amusement park almost shut down. New owners don’t give 2 craps either. Also they will allow other campers to be as loud and obnoxious as possible, blaring their music, screaming drunk right across the road, we couldn’t even relax, so inconsiderate. The roads are bad and I mean bad for Indiana if that gives you an idea, no updating. I went in the bathroom and all 3 stalls were full of pee and tp, I think they’re auto flush but they’re all broken with wires hanging out everywhere so I pushed the button on the side of mine to flush it manually, you’re welcome next person. This all was only the first 4 hours of being there. I can’t wait to spend 2 more nights in this hellhole. Do not come here and do not support these people until they make a change, where is the money even going? You can’t even get ur roads paved.

We didn't use the cabins but we had our own tent. The vibe was like no other especially with the right people. Everyone in the staff was respectful and helpful. Must stay up until 5 am to see the starts.

Good experience overall! No major complaints just could have been better.

The annual campers make you feel like an outsider, and the noise till 4am is insane. The security does nothing about it. When you tell them what happened they act like that could not have been going on. I can honestly say that we will NEVER CAMPER HERE AGAIN...............

We stayed the weekend at the campground for the first time this past weekend. Long story short, we had a good time, but there could be a lot of improvements as well. Read on for details. The positives..It is a very cool place with plenty to do. It is kid-friendly. It was super easy taking the trolly to Indiana Beach and back. The sites were large and clean. It was not overly wooded. The camp store was awesome and had everything we needed. The negatives..the bathhouses didn’t receive much attention during our stay. The floors stayed muddy and slick the whole time. They were so bad that my 5 year old told me to bring a potty chair next time so she doesn’t have to use them again. We also ran in to stalls without toilet paper several times. Then there was the noise level. It is more of a wild crowd than what I’ve seen in other campgrounds. Golf carts blasting rap music, people up hollering until 2-3am (the quiet time wasn’t enforced), and 7 police cars showed up on Saturday night for some sort of disturbance in the back of the park. The sites in the back were definitely the loudest/craziest. I don’t think it’d be a great area for people that like their peace and quiet. My son hit his head at the splash pad and had a pretty nasty bump from it. The lifeguard had disappeared about 5 minutes before, and we never saw her again. Or any lifeguard for that matter. The day before, a little girl busted her mouth open at the splash pad and the male lifeguard working just sat there and watched everyone else helping her. My friend had to go ask him for the first aid kit he had. The camp store cashier clearly didn’t enjoy her job and was cursing at her malfunctioning cash register the whole time I was in line. Lastly and maybe most frustrating was visitor parking. You’re only allowed 1 vehicle per site and all others have to park in a small grass area by the office. However, there were never any spots available. This only left a small parking lot in front of the office, but when we parked there, we and several others received parking violations telling us to park at our sites, where we were also told we couldn’t park (we had more than 1 vehicle). We did have a safe, good time but would need to see some improvement before we booked again.

Electric for our campsite was broken, and they sent someone right away to fix it. I am very pleased with that service. Only 3 stars because the campsite itself is busy, crowded, and loud. The front gate was barely functioning, and we didn'tget much help from staff with that, and the check-in staff weren't great. Our kids loved the splash pad, which was very clean. Really wish they would have had a fenced-in dog area. The nearby amusement park is very old and not clean, but our kids loved that as well.

As happy as we are to camp here ( two times a year for almost 15 years) and happy that it isn't closed thanks to a business person and amusement park fan from Chicago it still remains open. It's a great place to take your kids if you camp and the amusement park is old school but it's really great and kept up well. They do charge a resort fee for camping which covers a lot if stuff like the free splash pad in the campground and free transportation to and from the park to the campground, and a few other perks, park discounts too. Their full hookup campsights used to have free cable but not anymore, if you have kids you better bring DVDS. There's plenty to do and shopping is close by if you need groceries. All and all I would recommend it for a great weekend stay.

Indiana beach camp ground is a awesome place for the whole family.. kids love the golf cart parades. I seen some reviews about speeding golf carts this is totally false. Security doesn’t tolerate driving fast or small children driving. Them. For all those complaining maybe you should find someplace else.I’ve been going here for over 20 years multiple times a year. Absolutely the best.

My family and I recently stayed here for two nights (a Friday and Saturday). Admittedly, I was a little skeptical when I started reading reviews of how crowded and noisy this campground can get. However, it is a fantastic place to stay with kids, and I found that those previous reviews must be based on location and time of year that you are visiting. We stayed in the F section, and found ourselves pretty nicely tucked away from everyone, but still close enough to get to playgrounds, bathrooms and showers. Our kids easily found other kids to play with, and other campers were generally respectful of others (some loudness after quiet hours with late arrivals to the camp, but nothing too terrible). F section was pretty spaced out, but other sections of the camp could definitely seem a bit more crowded. Just look at the map carefully when you are planning your visit, and you should be good to go. We loved the splash pad and the convenience store on site was nice; very friendly staff too. Would definitely consider staying here again!
