Stayed in a cabin at Manistee River RV Resorts and it was great. Very clean when we arrived and stocked with all the cookware we could need in the kitchenette. The location is awesome! Right on the river and convenient access to town. We will definitely be making a trip or Two back up next summer.

I just returned from a 4 night stay at Manistee River RV Resort - I definitely recommend them if you're looking for a place to camp in the Manistee area. We were there as their season is winding down, and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars on "Service" was the hours of the office/tackle shop were very limited at this time of year. The park and facilities were very nice, and the tackle shop was very well stocked with salmon / trout fishing gear. We can't wait to return!

This is a GREAT hidden gem in Manistee. Honestly I wasn't sure when I saw it was near town, however, once you get into the campground it is quiet and has a great view of the river. My son's family rented a trailer, and we brought our travel trailer. The campers there were friendly. The bathrooms/showers were nice, clean and air conditioned. The managers and staff were friendly and really made you feel welcome! It is under new ownership, and you can see they are making improvements to the facility. My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much we rented a lot for the remainder of the season, and plan on becoming seasonal guests. The municipal Pickleball courts are only a few blocks from the resort. We look forward to many more fun stays at MRRR. Manistee is a nice location to visit and take day trips from.

I recently booked a three-day stay at Manistee River resort & Marina, hoping for a peaceful camping trip with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had anticipated, and we ended up leaving early due to how unwelcome and uncomfortable we felt. From the moment we arrived, we sensed a pervasive unease. While the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, the interactions with other campers were unsettling. Despite our attempts to be friendly and wave or say good morning, we were often met with cold stares and unresponsive attitudes. It was clear that our presence as African Americans was not welcomed by some. To our knowledge, we were the only Black people in the campground. One particularly disturbing incident involved three young men in a truck displaying a large political sign, who chose to dock their boat right next to our tent. While we respect everyone's right to their political beliefs, the placement of the boat felt intentionally intrusive and heightened our discomfort. Additionally, the noise levels at night were unbearable. Cars sped through the campground at unsafe speeds, disrupting what should have been a quiet and restful environment. The lack of consideration for other campers' peace and safety was disappointing. I struggled to sleep during the two nights we stayed. The sense of being unwelcome and the paranoia that ensued left me feeling unsafe and constantly on edge. By the second night, I was sleeping with one eye open, worried about our safety. On the third night, we decided to leave early and stay with family friends nearby, where we felt safe and wanted. This review is not about any specific incident of direct harm, but rather the cumulative feeling of not being welcomed and the pervasive sense of unease. It's important to remember that kindness and respect cost nothing. A simple smile or wave can go a long way in making everyone feel included and safe, regardless of their background or the color of their skin. We hope that sharing our experience can serve as a reminder of the importance of creating a welcoming environment for all campers. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected while enjoying the great outdoors.

We have stayed at what use to be insta launch for almost 20 years. Last year was going to.be our last because of.the past owners. We heard new owners bought this year and decided to try again. So glad we did! We just got back from 3 nights. New manager (Ron) is great. We were able to talk and joke around with him, which was not something you could do last year with old owner. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. They are in the process of doing things to make it better. We have a 6 year old and fresh sand was brought in while we were there he loved it. We are excited to see what else they have in store. We will definitely be back. If you stayed under the previous owner and decided not to go back again, please consider trying it again. We are glad we did.

Great place to stay. Very friendly staff, they will accommodate you in any way they can. I will be staying there in the future.

Great location, was able to relax in camp while my kids fished 10 feet away. But what really makes this place a great stay is the folks who run it. The entire place had a warm and inviting atmosphere. Unbeknownst to me I lost my work cell phone at the campground. The staff found it with a dead battery, charged it up and called me. They then payed to ship it to my house near Lansing, refusing my offer of reimbursement. We will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed at the campground just for a night. We stayed in our tent and unfortunately it stormed really hard that night, not going to lie that was quite the experience 😳 haha! We were supposed to be there for 2 nights but the weather was supposed to be the same for the next night, so we voted to head home 🙂 But the Campground it's self was pretty nice, the office/store had tons of fishing equipment at a reasonable price. They had some like hot dog buns and a few similar items oh and they have hand dipped Ice cream whole bunch of varieties. And our campground neighbors were nice as well. Can't tell you if it was quiet 😅 because yeah stormed all night so...

Awesome camp ground with the best bait shops iv ever seen at a campground!! Better than most stores with great prices. The friendly staff was great and in sure I will return. Spots are small so better be skilled with backing in a camper and alot of campsites have their own private dock

New owners are so friendly and helpful. We didn't get into late evening this memorial weekend and they were already closed yet they let us purchase firewood as it was so chilly and they delivered it! The grounds are nice, very quiet family atmosphere. The bathrooms, showers and common areas are very clean and well maintained. Thank you so much! I wish you much success on your new business endeavor... I know it's hard taking business over when previous management didn't necessarily run things the best. We made great memories and loved our weekend and hope to return.
