Overview
The Inter-Mountain Fair Of Shasta County offers a classic fairground RV experience in the heart of the scenic Fall River Valley. Located in the quiet community of McArthur, this facility provides a spacious and straightforward environment for travelers exploring northeastern California. While the grounds are the hub of activity during the annual fair, for most of the year they serve as a peaceful rural retreat for RVers looking to escape the hustle of major interstates and enjoy a slower pace of life.
Location & Surroundings
Situated at an elevation of approximately 3,300 feet, the park is nestled between the Cascade and Sierra Nevada mountain ranges. The surrounding landscape is defined by expansive agricultural fields and stunning distant views of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen. The air is crisp and the environment is exceptionally quiet, making it an ideal stop for those traveling along Highway 299 who appreciate wide-open spaces and the natural beauty of a high-mountain valley.
Amenities & Park Features
The facility is well-equipped for modern travelers, offering full hookup sites that include water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electricity. The sites are generally level and designed to accommodate larger rigs with ease. As a pet-friendly destination, there is plenty of room to walk dogs within the fairgrounds while enjoying the unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains.

A short drive takes you to the famous McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, home to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state. Who This Park Is Best For
This location is best suited for independent travelers and outdoor enthusiasts who value a functional, quiet, and safe base camp over a luxury resort experience. Because of the large, open layout, it is also highly recommended for caravan clubs or groups traveling together who need a reliable and affordable spot to gather while exploring the Shasta County backcountry.

The Inter Mountain Fair needs to hold a Weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly flea market/swap meet/crafts/ farmers market of some sort. Helps and builds a community.

The fairgrounds are small. However, It was great because it was very hot. Kids had a great time. Rides had no lines... Should have purchased our derby tickets online prior to the event because they were sold out when it was time for the derby... will attend this fair again.

Well maintained regional fairgrounds. And the joint is always jumping labor day weekend. Today was a picnic under the trees on the lawn for over 100 people.❤️
